The 24ve deal didn't work out. How about this one...

2007 22ve, 115 hours, 5.7 marine power, stock stereo with amp. No ballast, no hot cold shower (dealer says they will put it in for $300.) Dealer says its in excellent shape, I will see it Friday before I buy it, but it 3 hours away. $38k. Low retail book is $37,800. Seems like a pretty good deal to me. Should I pop a tag on this???

I haven't seen any better prices lately. I'm also in slc. I've got the same year, but an rz2. Better year than the 2006's. good hull for surfing. Its better that yours doesn't have ballast, it is a pain to retrofit a surf setup on top of the factory stuff. I did a complicated ballast in mine. Works really well. It will be in slc until the 17th, it goes to montana for the summer. If you'd like to see it, drop me a line. Seeing one in person is much better than reading about them. You may do something different if you want ballast, there is no best way. Mine is a bit overkill and expensive. But don't think drilling 9 holes for ballast in the boat's hull after you just dropped 40k is to be taken lightly. Happy hunting

I bought the same boat last year for 35K from a private seller. You won't be disappointed in the boat, the only complaint I have is the bimini top - it is a biatch to put up and take down.

The boat we bought didn't come with the factory ballast system either, so we ordered the W712 sac from Mike and it is awesome!!!!

Wow, 35k is a smoking deal. When I search the web and open my parameters to 1000 miles there are no deals in the range. Nice work. I out a deposit on it and driving up to see it and hopefully pull it home Friday.

Which tower is on it? Most from that year have the E tower, and I am a big fan of that one. Isn't that when the Z tower came out as well? It was a substantial upgrade, and is an even more awesome tower, IMHO. The ones that were originally sold from Vegas mostly had the Samson tower.

It sounds like you have been doing your homework. I find that no matter how hard you try, someone will come on and talk about how they got a better deal. It ALWAYS happens. Buy it and don't look back.

Thanks boys, that's why I've loved this forum for 3 years now. Excellent advice and insights! Looking forward to the upgrade over my Switch I. I'll post pics on Saturday assuming all goes well. Beautiful boat, red and white color scheme and hopefully as clean as the dealer says.
