    new ballast prob

Just took out the boat to see if everything was working with the new ballast. I have the rule pumps running. There are a few leaks around 1 check valve and a few others around the drain pumps and by the drain thru hole. I can't seem to tighten the clamps tight enough without stripping them and then I've tried using 2 clamps and they still slide around. Ideas? Thoughts?

    Thanks!

here is a pic, what do you guys think? I thought it looked nice with only the wife and I in the boat.

If double clamping didnt solve it, and the hose and fittings are the right match, then I would suggest coating the joint with some silicone sealer, re-clamping and let it cure.

I know that this might seem like a dumb question, but are you putting 3/4" fittings on 1 inch hose? With new installs, it seems that I have had very little leakage at the check valves and pumps. In fact, I swear every time I need to heat up a hose to get it on there and stand on my head in an engine compartment trying to push it on because it should be pretty tight.

Which rule pumps do you have?

I have the 1100 ones. I know the hose is 1". It also seems to take a long time to fill the enzo sac. I realize its a lot to fill but I think it was around 20 plus mins

all of the stock thru hulls are 3/4". talltigeguy asked too, but are you trying to put 1" hose on 3/4" fittings?

this is what was pkg together from wakemakers.

check valves are about 1/3 of the total length of the hose from the fill pumps

Is your fill line entering the top of the sac or is it filling from the bottom? Also, are you sure you got the 1' hose and not the the 1.125" hose by mistake? This would be a source of leaks on the 1" fittings.

And make sure that the outlet on the ballast pumps is actually the 1 inch hose outlet that they advertised. But given that you have leaks on multiple components, I would wonder about the bigger hose actually getting put in there...good thought CHP!

It should take a bit of manpower to slide the hoses on, if it went on super easy and you put 2 hose clamps on there, something is surely wrong.

Yeah I just got 1" hose and 1" check valves from wakemakers and had to heat everything with a heat gun to get it to fit. Methinks you were delivered the wrong sized hose.

It looks like its just under 1.125. So I bet I have the little bigger hose. Now what are my options instead of switching everything out? Will this slow down the fill or will it be fine as long as I find a way to seal it?

Yep, that sounds like the larger 1.125 hose, not the 1". Its a bi-atch to squeeze down over sized hose to a smaller fitting. IMO, I would contact your retailer and have them swap the hose out for the correct 1", but its just my opinion.

The 1" hose will not slow the flow. Ive done the testing and found no noticeable decrease in flow when using a smaller hose.

To address the slow filling, where on the sac is the fill hose connected?

Just call wakemakers and have them ship you new hose. Seems like it's their bad. In the meantime the pex crimping hose clamps from home depot would prolly get tight enough. In fact I'd bet a dollar on it.

It'd be a beotch to get those crimp clamps off though if you do replace it with the right sized hose.
