It's definitely new boat season! We're finally proud owners of a new Tige 22ve after having been in the process for 10 months! We're excited about having a V-drive after having been I/O people. We're thrilled to be part of the Tige family!

Want to take the opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to Corey and Bill at Wakeboard & Waterski Specialty in Denver. They went way above and beyond the call of duty to get us into a Tige. The fact that we purchased from them rather than from our home dealer in Ontario speaks volumes about their transparency and willingness to make things work. Thanks!

There's still ice on our lake so it'll be a couple of more weeks before we get her "home"! BTW, the trailer is a nicer vehicle than our car! Have to hitch it up and drive it around town regardless of whether there's a boat on it!

Beautifull boat! I know how you feel the wait is killing me also! Have only had mine out twice and there was so much debri in the water it was hard to enjoy!

Wrangler - thanks! Good taste on colors and graphics! Tower looks great! Liked the look of the new graphics but couldn't get past the brass knuckles and knives. The small bit of yellow in the riders looks great with the red.

mattie_k - we have a cottage on Otter Lake just south of Parry Sound. The nice thing about that lake is that its relatively small, meaning there'll be no more "two-foot-itis" for us.

Where do you boat in BC and when are you ordering your boat?

xpjim1 - the cover is a Sharkskin with Tige logos on the windshield at the front and along the sides at the transom. It has two small come-alongs along the side at the transom that tighten the strap that runs the entire perimeter of the cover to tighten it. Worked like a charm during the 1,000 km tow back to Canada, despite very strong winds in IL. Hopefully the two vents will allow sufficient ventilation. Its been so long since we ordered that I'm not sure whether its a Tige product or something WWS in Denver has made locally. I'll find out and get back to you.

BTW, WWS has a local company do their biminis - they are well designed, solid and look like a better option than the stock biminis.

Tige is finally making a travel cover I seen it in the show room last month. It looks like it will be as good the Rankin cover. It has vents in it to equalize the pressure so it doesn't ballon up while trailering.

CFord- Anderson Lake is our "secret stash" here in BC. No crowds, big warm and clean lake, doesn't get much better. When the mood for a road trip hits we like to go to the Shuswap lakes.
As for the boat, our dealer is just trying to track down a 22v or 22ve for us but it looks like he might have to ship one from the states. I hope that importing into canada isn't too big of a problem!

If you've got a dealer lined up then it will be absolutely no problem, since they have to "import" every boat they get.

We wouldn't deal with our local rep, so we had to import it ourselves. Nevertheless, it was easy. Since Tige's are US manufactured there's no duty and all you do is stop at the border and pay GST on boat and trailer and PST of boat. The province collects PST on the trailer when you license it. When I say "all" you have to do, writing such a large cheque for GST/PST is terrible. Its painful to see how much bloody tax we pay here.

Studman- I have that cover also. There is no problem towing your boat with that cover the vents are designed for towing to suck the cover on to the boat so it doesnt flap and scratch it up. I tow with it all the time.

CP3 is correct - the cover works like a charm for towing. We didn't have any problems with it during our trip back from MO to Toronto. No balooning whatsoever.

We have noticed that when it rains water tends to collect and create a depression (pool of water) on the cover just behind where the co-pilot bucket seat would be. Have thought about getting a pole installed to keep that part of the cover raised a little. Any other experience or suggestions?

Look at this thread. You will need to reverse the pole, and have the bottom brace rest on the floor of the boat, rather than the rear lounge. Other than that, it should work well. You will also need to have the front (meaning the end nearer the front of the boat) higher than the rear. In my case, I just made it flat. My water pools behind the motor.
