New to Tige... looking for a good place to buy parts..

I just purchased a 98 Tige 22v, I have a few little parts that I want to replace and was looking for some help on good online stores to get them. As well as some place to buy Eagle trailer brake parts...

    Any help would be appreciated.

    thanks,
    Brian

I have found that Amazon is my best friend so long as you know the part number... Here is good website for the part numbers for your boat... You will have to look up your specific motor but once you do that you will be able to cross reference everything or simply buy it from that site if you can't find it cheaper.. FYI you can always find it cheaper.. just make sure it is a reliable source and that you can verify it is for marine applications....

If you're looking for interior parts or trim parts good luck. A '98 22v is a rare beast and none of those parts exist in any sort of store. Any of the mechanicals are easy enough to get ahold of though.

Welcome to the site and post up some pics of your boat.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

thanks... I will get some pics up. Does anybody know of a place to get the manuals on how to remove the interior parts of the boat? I want to get a few covers replaced and also looking for a new fuel gauge.

          Welcome to the world Tige'!!

From my experience, there is not a general manual on how to remove parts. There are alot of us on here that have had / still own the older style Tige'. Definitely post up your questions with pictures...

Be careful when getting up under the dashboard. I had a couple of gauges replaced on my 1997 Tige and had issues that the wires were very brittle. I ended up replacing all the gauges and alot of the wiring.
If its not fun, Why do it?

2000 20ci, Missouri Ozarks. Check out; Go to Marine, Star marine depot, Discount inboard marine, West Marine. Paints plus. I have had good results from these venders on line. Eagle trailers have a web site. M&M

              Welcome.

If the guages are the VDC guages still dont be surprised if the bezels all pop off and need to be replaced. Not too bad to do jsut very tight under the dash.

What covers are you trying to remove to replace? You wont find any manual on how the interior comes apart but let us know and we can help you with it.

in the bow one of the bolts on the rail has come off and I did not now if I took off the side cushion if I would be able to get that fixed easy or not. I also wanted to take off the seat covers in the back and get them replaced.

Some cushions have screws in the seams between the cushion and the welting, some have studs that stick out the back, depends on year and when it was made. Mine has the threaded studs on the rear side covers, I havent had to remove the bow cushions yet. Start by taking out the bow speakers if you have them, you might be able to reach the bolt there. If not get into the storage locker under each dash and remove the nuts on the studs holding the cushions in if they are the studded versions. Also pull up the bottom bow cusions and feel behind the side cushions for studs. Once you get the cushions out of the way there will be holes for bolt access.

Far as the seat covers go, your best bet is to remove the entire seat or side panel and take the full thing to a good upholstery shop. You wont find complete aftermarket covers for them for easy replacement they will have to be custom made.

The only manual you can purchase is from Mercruiser for the engine and drivetrain or a used one on ebay.
