While on the water yesterday I finally spent some time explaining to my wife how to adjust the ballast to clean up the wake while I'm wakeboarding. It took a little while to explain 'white is light' and how to empty ballast on the opposite side until it cleans up but she got it!
The starboard wake was a little washed on top but would clean up as I approached it. She gets a little stressed at times, especially if the river is busy so I figured she just didn't feel like adjusting it.
After riding for maybe 15min and a couple falls, I cut out on my toeside edge and cut in for a heelside jump when I started losing tension in the line. The boat slowed down from 22mph to maybe 18mph.
Of course I thought my wife did it by mistake and I kinda got on to her, asking why she slowed the boat down. She said she didn't so I had her stop the boat.
She said the Tige Touch wouldn't respond to her touching it and that it hasn't since I first started riding. She was on the ballast screen and couldn't get it to empty the port side ballast but never told me.
I had her turn the boat off and then back on, manually set the speed and TAPS and all was well.
It never acted up for the rest of the day.
Has anyone ever experienced this?
