    2013 Z3

Just picked up my (and my boat partners) new 2013 Z3 from Ski Dock yesterday afternoon and we are ecstatic! Sold the 2004 22V earlier this year, she was (and is) a great boat but it was time for an upgrade. Ski Dock had this 2013 Z3 in stock and we had been eyeing it for a couple months. Apparently no one else likes the solid blue but my boat partners and I loved it so we went for it! As always the Ski Dock guys are great

I spent some time playing around with her in the driveway last night and my first impressions are that I love the Tige touch, intuitive and so far easy to navigate. The fit, finish and layout of the Z3 are really impressive after the 2004 22V. Tige's have come SO far since my 2004.

Can't wait to get her out on Lake Austin this Saturday to really she how she performs. We will see if the cold water keeps me from trying out the surf wake. It is going to be a great summer on the lake.

Here are a couple pics I took last night. Will post more soon!

Thanks everyone! Saturday on Lake Austin was a great time. Got the family out early and the kids and wife loved the new boat. After dropping them off for kids nap time my boat partner and another buddy came out and we got to play with the surf wake and stereo. We have Pro Ballast, the PCM 343, Syn6 running the interior XS 650's/10 sub and a Syn 2 running ICON 8's.

Still have some dialing in to do on the surf wake and stereo. From what I have heard and read about the Z3 wake and what I saw yesterday I think I am going to get a custom port sack from Ski Dock that will give me I think 1100? so I can have a big wake with only a couple guys in the boat. Spent today digging into the details of the stereo setup and now I understand how everything is setup and I can tweak to get the best interior, tower and sub balance.

A question, was running my iphone over bluetooth and streaming audio and I encountered an annoying scenario. When I go from engine on to engine off my iphone loses connection to the tige touch and I have to go into settings again and choose the boat. My truck stereo always auto discovers. Am I missing a setting?

Oh yeah and the bimini put up and take down is going to take some getting used to! Practice makes perfect I am sure.

Beautiful boat! I love the solid side, especially how it looks on the water. Makes the boat look longer and sleeker I think.

We rewired our stereo to be hot no matter key position. I got sick of a music interrupt every time I shut the boat off. I throw all the master breaker switches to off when leaving the boat (to prevent accidental battery drain). Maybe this is a similar issue for you with a similar solution.

Re bimini, buy at least a pair of those rubber wrapped bendable wires cinches (I think Timmy suggested this years ago). Use a cinch to secure one side of the rear pole while you are working the other side. The cinches are also nice to secure the front and rear poles to each other when the bimini is stowed.
