I tried this. I sent the factory an email and a few days later i received an email from the dealer that is an hour away, telling me they will update it for $100. So, 2 hours of driving plus $100 to update... no thanks.

With a 2011, you're still under warranty and the "360 Plus" program, right? I assume this would be covered under one or both of those.

I can't figure out how to download. It keep redirecting me to do download something else.

I am not sure. I'm the second owner and they didn't tell me about any of this.

I should of clarified what I meant about the dealer issue what I was referring to was his comment about the dealer wanting to charge him to do a task such as this. The more I thought about this why wouldn't Tige hand him off to the dealer closest to him simply for the fact dealers make money off service and warranty work now is this something I believe the dealer should do no charge ABSOLUTELY. Kasey200 did you purchase your boat from the dealer in Rapid City? What issues are you having regarding TigeTouch/the Medallion box or did you just want to make sure your system was up to date?

I just wanted to make sure it was current. I bought the boat used and i don't know the history so i though i would try an update. It's not that big of a deal. Not worth the $. I understand Tige handing me off to the dealer... they are pushing business to their dealer network which makes perfect sense to me. I was just hoping to do it with out trailering so far. I'm really not too worried about it.

This is the 5.20.2012 update.

Well, I just tried updating mine and now the screen is just blue.

I checked the current version and it read: V10109629 (may have been 23 at the end).

I should have written it down or taken a picture but my kids were distracting me!

Here's what I did:

1. Turned the boat on and navigated to the Setup screen.

2. Plugged the USB in.

3. Selected the Update Viper menu and then hit Update on the screen.

4. I got this message on the screen:


5. After maybe 10-15 seconds the screen went blue and never changed.

6. Waited about 5min without a change.

7. I turned the key off, removed the USB and turned the key back on and all I got was a blue screen.

8. I turned the key back off, reinserted the USB, turned the key back on and got the Viper Bootloader screen for 10-15 seconds and then a blue screen.

Obviously I did something wrong here!

I loaded the file onto the USB with my Mac. Could the USB formatting be the issue?

That's where I went. Looking at yours now mine was: v01096 29

So now you see nothing but a blue screen? That is frustrating. I would try to download again; not sure if Mac had anything to do with it. I will continue to follow to see if I should try an update.
