Had a 2005 22V and loved it. Upgraded to a 2007 24Ve and love it even more. The extra room really makes a difference, and the 24 just rides so much more smoothly than the 22. As others have stated, spend a little more if you can and get an 07+ Ve. You won't be disappointed.

My buddy has an '06 22Ve with just a 400# sac in each locker and some sort of sacs up front (probably the same) and it has plenty of wake to surf. The platform drags causing a nasty lip in it but, if you can't surf it, you need to learn how to be a better surfer. The potential is there for a great surf wake but, its completely surfable with just basic ballast.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

What year is your 24v and what do you have with ballasts including any stock system? Nice wave!

All this talk about the accu-set and so forth. Check the potential boat out, our 06 22Ve has the Perfect Pass Wakeboard Pro and works fine. We have an MLA custom sac in each rear locker and get a great surf wave.

I have a 2005 Tige 24v and the wave is epic! I love the room of a 24ft boat as well.

I think it was a mid year change...The boat referenced above in the KSL.com has the accuset with the marine power engine...bad news, IMHO. Good point, not all 06's were configured like that. Some have the PCM engine which is not a problem either.
              Be excellent to one another.

Looking at a very clean 2007 24ve with 225 hours. Has everything, upgraded stereo, but no factory ballast. 40k a good deal?
