Epic boats what do you guys think

What do you guys think about epic boats I'm looking at a 2008 epic 23v

None of the Tige ones work for you? Going to be hard to get good input here. I believe that Timmy! has a friend that had or has one.

I thought that Epic got out of the boats. If that is the case what is support and parts going to be?

What is it about this Epic that you are looking at it? What does it have over the Tiges that were mentioned for you? What options does it have?

couple up here. nose looks like it was hit with an ugly stick, but that aside...

wakeboard wake is one of the best out there.
you will struggle to get a decent surfwake-steep and hard to ride.
check engine information. there's one of the v8's that had some issues that was corrected in later models. don't remember the size, but the original volvo bigblock that came in it had some oiling issues iirc..

I've only heard good things about the wakes and the standard ballast is huge. I did read a few posts on WW about prop shafts breaking but that was probably due to mis-aligned shafts and/or manufacturing defects in the shaft steel.

            My neighbor has a 2009.

It seems to be reasonably built. THe Samson tower is awesome.
The wake is very big, and the 8.1 is a powerful motor.

It is not a family friendly boat. In a sharp turn the water splashes up the side and with a mild breeze will get the occupants wet. This boat is made to go straight and then idle back to your rider.

The wake is a bit finicky on that boat and my neighbor's son in law, who is a very good wakeboarder (I've seem him land 9's) prefers my Malibu.

I have heard that the newer models have gotten better at surfing, but I still think they are not as good at that as most other wakeboats.

Despite the challenges of having transom mounted speakers, I think it is the best idea ever, and wish every boatmaker did that.
            Be excellent to one another.

              X2!

The Epic is defintely a boat for those who like to wakeboard. I like that you can just hose off the inside when you are done for the day and I mean who doesn't need 19 cup holders??? I like the Smart Tow feature and the ballast system is, well, epic. BUT, it is not a family friendly boat - your wife and kids will get wet if the wind is blowing.
