    Creamsicle....makes me drool every time.

I love the looks of the new boat.

I have ridden in a Toyota boat, and it was very nice. A little underpowered but nice.
    Be excellent to one another.

Great looking boat! You will love your Tigé
But you should definitely add the Surf Ballast if it isnt too late. Having the plug and play is extremely easy and convenient. Eventually you will want to surf and the boat will not be plumbed for sacs. Having to set up a system after the fact can be a head ache. A lot of people say that they arent going to surf, but as I've seen time and time again, it's going to happen haha.

I am buying the boat for the pure fact that we have gotten into surfing.
However, having to pay 800 for them to add a 2nd battery and whats basically a Perko seems a bit outrageous.

by my calculations and this is rough it should be
50 for a wholesale deep cycle battery
50 -75 for the dual battery switch
100 in labor if we are being generous.
10% profit.... would put you around 250. so why is there another 550 in profit in such a simple set up??

Then we have to add another 1000 for the surf system.
now looking at the surf system which I looked at for a good 45 at the boat show looks to be a slick set up of check valves, a y pipe, and some tubing, but for the purposes of this post, it is a very well engineered piggy back system.
So with all of those parts. we're looking at 200 in parts to be generous
        230 retail for the bags
150 in labor and maybe 100 in Velcro and proprietary stuff.
So that equals out to about 750 with profit and I am guessing tige buys the bags a lot cheaper than i can from wakemakers.
But the cost of the bags are beside the point of: why is the more than another $250 in the price of that upgrade??

Now I see you are a dealer of some sort, so if you can get them to throw it in for the costs I've calculated out, I will jump on the upgrade.

If not, I will Build a killer system when I eventually get the time to build it.

Sorry, if this offends you, i am not trying to, i am just looking at something from a informed buyers perspective.

since when do markups on marine products make sense? Seriously......look at any manufacturer, heck Mastercraft charges $5000 for 4 JL tower speakers, and $8000 for a Pro package, that I've yet to figure out what actually comes with it. Just saying, Tige is more than fair in their markups compared to others in the industry.

And what company can live on 10% markup? We have to pay taxes, insurance, etc you know. You called it profit but at 10% on top of costs, there isn't any room for profit. (Here we go). Not trying to be argumentative just trying to get some to be realistic. But the simple fact is once you buy the boat, they know they can get the extra money on adds. People do pay it.

Either way, nice boat and welcome to the site! I hope you enjoy it and don't let my comment get to you. This is a great forum.

Great post on Themalibucrew to post a boat build thread there. That was ballsy.

Just to comment on the price of the options packages...

If you put the word 'boat' on something it costs 3 times what it should.
If you put the word 'medical' on something it costs 5 times what it should.
If you put the word 'airplane' on something it costs 10 times what it should.

It is just the way the world works.
                    Be excellent to one another.

this is completely true... used to build spare parts for Boeing... a 737 wing leading edge we would build in 5 days cost for us with material and labor around 4-6k.... sold around 36k to the middle man.

so yeah.. you pay for a factory install... in the MARINE world.. there will be some mark up...

                              Love the color combo.
My dad had a huge gray and white 4winns when i was a kid.
to this day one of my favorite looking boats my family has owned.

You got a prettier trailer lol.

                              What options did you get?
we may have to do some water comparisons use eachother as guides to weighting and and everything else.

                                Yeah, bada$$ trailer, right?!

The biggest options we opted for was the surf ballast and the VX, so we’ll see how much the VX helps. I think we will try and dial the wave as-is before deciding how much more weight to add. You may have heard of Squid here, if not look him up because it looks like he’s got his R20 wave perfected. One we get ours all set up and dialed in I’ll be sure to report back on here.
