Spending little time on speaker rings today. I had kicker speaker sitting around, so used that for testing.

We use custom cut clear acrylic ring thats placed between the speaker or cup-holder, with the LED strip between the speaker/cup-holder with the LED side of the strip facing out. The acrylic can be frosted by sanding or polished clear. Frosted will defuse the light for a warm glow, where as polished clear will let more light out. The side effect is that you will see the individual LED pods more.

Looks like Mike already explained it...I do same thing and someone don't polished after cnc router cutting, so it gives transulant look.

The Rev-8 and Rev-10 rings are readily available at your local Wet sounds dealer, one of their authorized online retail outlets like Earmark Marine or direct from Wet Sounds. Retail is $175 for the Rev-10 pair and $150 for the Rev-8 for single color.

I can help you with in-boats and subs. Standard 6.5" frosted rings with single color $40 p/pair. 10" sub single color $50 and 12" is $56.00

Most of the installs I do, the customer wants the LED accent lighting on its own switch, seperate from the courtesy lights. Reason being is that in most cases, the LEDs we are adding are a different color from the OEM courtesy light. The White courtesy tend to lessen then effect of the accent lighting. In some boats, we have converted the white courtesy light to an LED thats the same color as the added LEDs and then they are all on the same switch.

In all installs, I recommend any LEDs outside or above the deck, be on their own switch.

So if the LEDs are getting installed on their own circuit, you will just need to run a 2 conductor from the furthest LED from the switch around the boat to the switch and pick up all the LEDs along the way. With any 12V ready LED, you just wire them in parallel ( + to +/- to -).

Thanks Mike. I will be in touch soon about some of these. I am pretty sure I need amps this year as well. I added 2 REV8s to my existing REV10s, and me thinks I am waaaayyy underpowered.

Also, Might want to use Fuse too.. eventho LEDs don't use much AMP but it's always safe to use Fuse AMP..

I changed my courtesy lights to LEDs Fooston bulb or whatevery they called.. I used the same courtest switch otherwise I'd have done as Mike mentioned (new switch)..

Can you just wire the fuse in anywhere?
