    Lake Powell-Halls Crossing- June 22-28

We're going to be a large group this year, first annual trip to lake Powell!!!
2 Pontons, another bowrider, and my 2010 RZ2... Can't wait to explore the lake and shred with my new GoPro!
Any advice or local experience from launching in this area?
We're staying at Halls Crossing so I've heard it's not as busy as BullFrog.
Hows the water level going be? 40% full is what I'm reading now. Not sure if that exposes alot of hazards or not.

Anybody going to be around this time of year?

There are hazards no matter what.

The 200 foot cliffs above the lake are the most beautiful thing in the world. But that 200 foot exists under the water too. So you can be running in deep water and be grounded instantly when you come over the underwater cliff.

      So be careful out there.

Some time in June I will be at Wahweap at the opposite end of the lake.
      Be excellent to one another.

Staying at the Family Units there in Halls Crossing.. Is there a little store nearby? What do they sell? We're brining tons of food and beverages but wondering if that shop sells Beer and ice, and other products...charcol? meat, veggies?

Thanks! June seems so far away!

I have not been to the family units for years. From what I remember they are very limited on fresh produce. Mostly fruits and lunch meet . It was more of a chips and soda stop. The last decent stop for any thing would be in Blanding.
You bet wakeboarding and motocross will drain the wallet in a hurry ,but not near as fast as teenage rehab

Vic- we stayed there last year and we are going again after the 4th. I would plan on bringing a ton of food with you and not plan on getting anything at the Marina store. They are really just more like a convenience store.

The only tricky thing with Halls is the ferry. It only runs a few times a day. We always launch at bullfrog and that way we aren't tied to the ferry schedule. However it is nice to have at least one car in the group that takes the ferry over so that you can be shuttled to the marina each day.

Like Tall said there are hazards everywhere so be aware and you will have an awesome time. It is my favorite place to play.
