Stereo done. Mostly. I'm gonna mod the old iPod/iPod brain/remote brain box to be just an iPod box. Still waiting for my PerfectPass. Waiting to officially mount the remote until the PP is done just in case. It is live though. I'm happy with the observers compartment. Happy to be out of it. It's all nice and gone though. Full strip down and re-rig. It now better than its ever been. Stop.

Huge thanks the Chpthril! Got the hook up on the goods and services. Answered all my dumb questions and helped me set it up right. It's working flawless, Mike. It's was the easiest install I've ever had. Everything worked first time. Except that steering wheel control jack I forgot to plug in. Tore the batts out and cleaned everything up. Reinstalled the batts and all systems go! You da man. Anybody looking to do their own install work, Mike's Liquid Audio is one hell of resource. Answered all my questions and emails straight away. You just can't put a price on that kind of service. Well, I suppose you could but, it'd be worth it.

Anyways, new system is much cleaner sounding. The HU doesn't have neer the features the old Pioneer had, some of which I'm gonna miss but, it does sound better and its simple. I wish it had a better EQ but, oh well. Next year, when I upgrade the amps and speakers is when I'll need an EQ. I'll be plenty happy this year with my new core.

Thanks Ewok. Kinda old school. There's not much point to building an amp rack if I'm just gonna switch out the amps next year. These were already mounted so I just left them. They were a bitch to get up there but, they haven't budged in 10 years so...

Huge thanks to TeamAllen! The coupon master! Thanks for putting the group buy together, dude. It was the catalyst in pushing the wife off the fence.

Awesome job, dude! Looks good. I really like the cluster with the Alpine remote on one side and the PP on the other. I was more then happy to help and answer any question, thank you!

Thanks fellas. I'm really digging it. It would have been a lot easier to leave the tach and multi gauge where they were and just put the PP and remote in the center. I'm glad I made the switch. It feels really cool. The PP is right in line with the throttle. It's a very natural transition from the throttle handle. I was worried the remote was going to be too far away but, its plenty close. The only thing I need to do is finish the bezel in black. PP came through with the black bezel on the silver Tige face. I wasn't sure if they were going to do it or not but, it showed up yesterday with black.

That black depth finder is going to drive me insane. I'm already planning next years dash mods and that thing will be replaced.

Looks fantastic! I know you went through a lot to keep it looking stock, and now it looks WAAAYYY better than stock, well done again.

Thank you sir. I do try to keep things looking factory but, I think I threw the stock thing out the window last season. It felt good letting go but, I've got some wild ideas flying around in my head now a days. I doubt it'll go that far but, you never know.

Trim progress. Got the remote bezel finished. Got the dash cubby done (for now). Ipod mount done. Still waiting on a few replacement switch actuators. They shipped my replacements to somebody else the first time. The girl on the other end of the phone has been a regular sweetheart. She felt terrible about having to replace the first ones. Shipped em out that day, only to the wrong address. Called her a week later, wondering where they might be. Uhhh. Poor girl. She had a tracking number to me an hour later. That's all you can ask.

                                Anyways...
