Zany...I am going to assume that you are working with Daniel at Corona... Just call him and he will arrange it with the factory. I think he has a digital now at the dealership so he can take pictures when your boat comes in on the truck... Congrats on your order...you will really enjoy your new boat... We also have a 24Ve...
Originally posted by zany I have just recently ordered a 24ve.
How does one go about getting pictures of your boat being built?
I did that and it was not pleasant. I would not recommend it. I will tell you why.
You see the boat being built, the progress as the long awaited day gets closer. Then you see the final pictures and realize that your boat is waiting, and waiting, a truck to deliver the boat. You know it is built, why is it not delivered? Your patience gets tested to the limit. Do you really want to put yourself through that emotional roller coaster?
OK, lets be serious. I think it would be a good marketing gimmick if Tige would photograph every boat during significant stages of manufacture. The hull being laid in the mold, stringers installed, halves mated, engine installation, carpet installation, instrument installation, etc. Then when the boat is delivered to the customer a small book of photographs is also delivered. With digital this would be easy and not terribly expensive.
But of course I don't work in marketing and may just be blowing smoke up my own exterior orifice.
Wangler,
I'm working with Tom in Corona and he didn't think it was possible to get pictures, thats why I put the question out to you guys for help.
I don't know Daniel, would he be more help with this request.

I think that would be better than waiting for the phone ring telling you that your boat arrived at the dealer, and by the way, I have always liked roller coasters.
and I bet you will do it again with your next boat.

That is an awesome idea from a boat buyers perspective. It would be great to have a "build history" for the very boat your buying. For Tige it's just one more thing to do, but I'm sure after a while it would become natural. From a sales standpoint it would be a great tool. I've never heard of any builder out there do anything like that and it would be a great little tool to woo a possible new buyer. I would look very hard at a company that was not afraid to show you every step of your boats life.
Zany...Tom is another sales gur at Corona and is helpful as well. If memory serves me, I seem to remember that the factory will take jthe pictures and the sales folks facilitate the request. Thanks...wrangler
I know that Malibu will take pics for you. On this site, a guy posted the thread of his 247 being built. That where I first saw the Pansy transom that the wedge is attached to. (sorry, I guess I am in a bashing-type mood)
