    what is a pre model

I am confused about the Tigé models, some just have some numbers referring to the length (22 or 2200 for 22 feet) and then a letter or more, like 2200v for a 22 foot v-drive. But I have seen some, including my friend's boat with who I sometimes ride, that have a pre before the number. I was wondering what that means.
    Is there a difference between a pre2200v and a 2200v from the 90s?
    Thank you,
    Alejandro

    alejandro,

There is no difference between a pre2200v and a 2200v, other than the model year.

Our model designators use to say (for example) Pre2100iWT. As you said, the 2100i part is easy; 2100 = 21', i = direct drive. The transom decal on our boats use to say 'Precision Watersport Towboat'. The 'Pre...WT' just stood for Precision Watersport Towboat. As time went on we simplified the names, the Pre2100iWT became the 2100i, then later simply the 21i.

    Hope this helps.
