Looking for sub advice for RZR

Guys Im looking for some good insight on a sub to go with for my RZR. I currently have all wetsound in the boat, but im open to trying something else for a sub. What sub/amp would you reccomend, and where would you put it?

How crazy are u wanting to get with it? SQ or SPL? How much room do u have? How big of sub? Ported or sealed?

Does your boat currently have the 6 in-boat and 10" sub option, or 4 in-boats powered off the head-unit.

RE Audio SXX 12 won't break the bank and is one of the best subs I have ever used. I have one of them with 1400w RMS going to it and I also have a WS XS-12 with a Syn 2 running it. Considering the WS set up costs abouut 2-3x as much it isn't even a comparison. You get WAY more bang for your buck with the RE Audio set up. I am using the RE Audio 3000.1 amp on the SXX 12.

I think its fair to point out that its the 700W rms difference that you are experiencing, not a brand-A brand-B difference. Also, the enclosures of both will play into the comparison. I just dont the OP or anyone fallowing along, to come away with a brand perception based on an apples to oranges comparison.

2 woofers of the same size with same power and in similar enclosures, will have roughly the same output. Some subs are more SQ and others are more SPL, so they will all have a different sound, but moving air is moving air, which is what a sub does.

Great info guys. For the newb I am what is sq and SPL? What will a wet sound 12inch sub cost and what amp should I push it with? I think I currently have a syn6? Pushing the rev 8s and I think a syn 2 pushing the 4 smaller wetsound speakers in the boat.

FWIW, I have been running the same 10" RE re series sub for 10 years. It still hits just as hard as new and still sounds great.

I have had a syn 2 hooked to both subs and the RE is still the better sub IMO. Both subs are in ported enclosures built to the manf. specs.

This is the sub I have. Weighs 25lbs and is the best sounding sub for the money I have encountered in my 32 years of being alive.

You could get a little crazy if you wanted on the RZR:
