So I moved all the electronics up today and it looks like I can get a box with outer dimensions of 22" wide x 14" tall x 16" depth. I plan to work with Simon at Wetsounds on a design but if anyone has any ideas let me know. Still need to decide on the sub amp? Will am Arc Audio xdi1000v1 be enough bridged to 1 ohm for the xxxv2?

Picture of my temporary solution below until I can build a box for the xxxv2 and decide on an amp for it? Got it all cut out and ready. Also considering 4 tower speakers now. On the fence about Rev 8's or 10'. I have to fold the tower down when we pull the boat out on Sundays and I have a feeling it may be too heavy with the 10's... maybe even the 8's?

I'm also not a huge fan of the highs on the in boat 650's... sounds a little muddy compared to my previous KS65's? I also had a built in full range EQ on my last HU. Does this mean I need a WS-420 to turn down some mids and up the highs?

This sub is OLD... been sitting in my basement for awhile. I unhooked the rear speakers and bridged 5/6 on the HT-4 and it sounds pretty good! Just the 650's are not to my liking right now.

The HT-4 is only a 4 chnl amp, so it doesnt have chnls 5 and 6.

The HT amps are also not used from the factory, so there is no telling how the amp driving the in-boat speaker, is set up. Not many people complain about lack of highs from the XS-650. Sounds like your install is not factory, so dont rush to judge the speakers for reproducing whats sent to them.

I would do a single set of Rev-10 over 2 pair of Rev-8 is hang height is not an issue.

My bad... I bought an HT-6. I have the high pass at ~100Hz and gains at about 45%. No bass boost. Nothing else to dial in except a few settings on the HU. I think there is just too much mid bass... maybe it is just they way I like my EQ settings which I don't really have now...

Hang height is not a concern. So you really think two Rev10's sounds better than 4 Rev 8's?

4 speakers just looks so damn good on this tower!

A pair of 10" HLCDs will play deeper than any number of smaller HLCDs.

Start with the head units EQ flat, and try raising the x-over to 120hz. Way higher than my liking, but nothing wrong with that if its what your ears like.

Thanks again! Not super worried about it now. Just wanted some tunes to enjoy the boat. I will do the audio slowly but right the first time. If that is 4 Rev 10's, that's what I will get. In one of your replies you said a KS600.2 would push 4 rev 10's?

Yes, an Arc Audio KS 600.2 will drive 2 pair of Rev-10 or Rev-8

Thanks. For the cost this is the route I will go. What about the sub amp? How about the XDi1000.1? 1150rms at 1ohm bridged for the xxx-v2 with dual 2ohn voice coils sounds like a good match. This amp also has subsonic.

bump. Still looking for opinions on the XDi1000.1 for a xxx-v2
