exactly - a lot of the girls especially we take out are very leary to begin with.

I wouldn't necessarily expect clean wakes on both sides at that speed, but whatever side the rider is pulling tends to clean up first.

Oh, how I wish I had a tige dealer near me.

Boardman, literally just no weight and 2 people.... Taps down or up its pretty much clean. Add any weight and forget it though

Until you find another boat here's an option to your Supra; go to Wake Wake World and pm a user called Diggs (Tyler). He's really knowlegable about Supra's. I would NOT post the question on the site due to potential of being ridiculed and starting a bashing war on boats.

        Just a thought.

That should have been Wake World website.

Just transfer kids left and right in the boat depending on what side the rider is on. It's a little bit of a pain but really makes a difference. Since I weigh as much as 3-4 kids I just let my wife drive and then I move left and right in the boat to clean up the wake. I couldn't imagine pulling a 6-7 year rookie old at 20 MPH.

^^ Me neither!! My 10 and 11 year old started this year at 15 mph. I slowly worked them up to about 17.5. They rode every weekend and really progressed. They are good riders now and I still wouldn't pull them at 20. Its not really about skill more about size and weight. I can see pulling an adult beginner faster than small kids.

Letting the boat turn ever so slightly to the side the rider is over the wake cleans it up (and lowers it a bit) too. I think what it does is sends the start of the froth farther back.

Conversely, when pulling an adult, steering a bit against the pull of the rider keeps the boat razor straight and the wake peak more defined (assuming no froth). A little counter steer goes a long way.

Do other drivers of adults just pull with the wheel fixed (allowing little lateral shifts whenever the rider cuts hard) or do you make slight adjustments against pull?

I must be doing something really, really wrong because I cannot get a froth-free wake at any TAPS or combination of factory ballast tanks (yes, tried no weight, all bow, all rear, and mix bow/rear, with port/sb balance). Shortening the rope helps some but does not eliminate problem.

It goes without saying I remain ultra-interested in your super-secret mod no matter its effect on a wakeboard wake
I don't remember the setup I have it saved on the touch. When I get a min I will look at it

I have an 06 22v. The wake Doesn't clean up on that tell at least 20. Same with newer tiges. And to get it really clean you need to be going 22-23+.

My friend has a x-30 about the same year as my tige. He can run 18-19 and its the most clean consistent wake i've ever seen (with or without ballast).

Tige does has a great surf wave. But since there isn't a tige dealer even anywhere around you, and an MC dealer 1.5 hr away, I think its a no brainer to go with an MC. Even if every thing was equal, I'd always go with a dealer that is near to me.

I've tried an tried and tried and you can get a SOME what clean and decent wake at a low speed from what I've experienced. Filling front ballast and lower taps number helps a ton but I found that when teaching new people to "jump" then we slow down to 19-20 edge is much easier at this speed then a slow speed. The other alternative is to just load one side heavier and get the side they are trying to jump clean and forget the other. I hopefully can find a set up that will work with the new Z3 this spring but not holding my breath.. If anybody has any ideas I'd be curious in hearing them.

Well we went to the MC dealer today and I think I've made up my mind likely on an X30. I still think Tige has a much better looking boat, but after sitting down and really thinking it through, there is just no way we can make a 5 hour trip each way to a dealer if we would have any needs.

So thanks for everyone's advice. I kinda fell in love with your boats, but it wasn't to be. Hopefully Tige will get some dealers in Ohio soon, maybe next time around I'll be back.

Thats to bad tige doesn't have any dealer support in Ohio.

I agree with your decision. You have to remember boats are hand built one at a time. They will have issues and you will need warranty work. 2 10 hour round trips(drop off and pick up) really isn't realistic. I have had broke down snowmobiles the last 2 weekends and having to drag them home from the lake cabin for repair is a pain and thats only 3 hours each way. Don't blame you at all.

I go to the dealer once a year... to get my boat shrink wrapped.

Dont blame Tige too much. They had a great guy, but the down-turn in the economy got him like it did a whole lot of small businesses.
