Question about height on my new Z3

Hey guys,

Anyone know what hieght of garage door I need to get my Z3 into the garage for winter months ?

Right now its stored at the dealer until spring but my plan is to keep it in my garage and I think I only have 6.5 or 7ft garage doors on my detached garage.

Will it fit in there with the tower folded down ?

It will fit in a 7ft garage door, but not a 6.5' door. Now, that also depends on the trailer. Mine is on a boatmate with 14in wheels. It would not fit if I had the 18" wheel upgrade because the bunks are built higher to clear the wider fenders needed for the 18" wheels (again on a Boatmate trailer).

My trailer has the 18" wheels. I sure hope I can fit it in my garage I don't want to leave it outside in the elements.

I have an 8' garage door and my RZ2 has about 3-4" of clearence with the tower folded, and it rides on standard 14" wheels. I think your going to need at least an 8' garage door.

On a boatmate trailer with 14" wheels, it fits a 7' door with an inch or so to spare. I've seen other 14" trailers where the boat sits higher though.

My trailer is RoadRunner, made in TX. I can see how there could be a few inches difference in the trailers.

Our RZR is on a boatmate that has the 14 inch wheels and fits with about a 1/2 inch clearance. The 18 inch wheels will not fit. We also have to undo the bimini and flip it onto the motor box. With it strapped to the towere it does not allow tower to fall low enough.
