Goodyears from the Tire Rack
I am running the 225/75r15 D. The D part is important to the equation. It is the load range designation. The higher the letter the more load it can take (A<E). It is something that is over looked all the time. I run a load range E on my truck. I generally try to over build anywhere I can. there is some good info on that site. Check it out. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

The Goodyear's were $0 for all five and they compensated for some mileage. This occurred at the height of the Firestone tire (SUV rollover) ordeal which may have influenced GY's agreement with me or just that they had a number of issues with Carlisle they wanted to put behind them after their purchase. My tires were sent to the GY investigatory unit all handled by America's Tire. I was pleased with the results and was promptly mailed the reimbursement.
I am running GOODYEAR MARATHON RADIAL TIRES (ST205/75R-14) Load C. When I bought 1 last year before I was on the certificate program it was $90.10 with mounting, lifetime balance, rotation, tax, waste fees and certificate. I refused to purchase tire certificates as I attributed the tire failure to an isolated unlucky experience. I re-thought my position after tire puncture number #3.
My trailer with boat (22i) weighed 4800 Lbs. My tire failures have occurred from nails and other puncture damages as I have not experienced tire failure from a blow out. Either way I had flats which most of the time resulted in a ruined tire. Some tires caught a nail and merely slow leaked allowing for a tire repair.

Mine lasted about that and I had 4 spectacular blowouts within 2 months, the last two going to and coming home from the Tige boat owners reunion.
BTW, I've said this before, if you do get stuck in a pinch, Walmart stocks Carlisle tires for trailers. They might not be the same as what came with your boat, but at 7:30pm on a Saturyday evening or on a Sunday, it can be a real lifesaver if you lose more than 1 tire at a time or don't have a spare.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."
