My in-laws just bought a new Tige Switch V at the KC boat show. The dealer told us they would call it in for production and should be done in 5 weeks. The dealer called it in on Feb. 23rd. I wanted to know if the production is normally right on time or should we expect the boat to take a little longer. Any thoughts on the boat are welcome also.

Congrats on your new Switch! You will be very stoked with the boat.
As far as production time, Tige' is generally right on schedule with their deliveries to the dealers. In fact, they are frequently early! One of the uncontrollable issues is the dispatching of trucks to pick up the boats in a timely manner. On rare occasions, there is some delay but those delays are few and far between!
Have a great summer...

Here is our new 2004 Switch V. I was impressed by the size of the wake for a 20' tow boat without ballast. This is our first Tige' boat and probably not the last. Overall quality and workmanship appears good. Interior is not as plush as the non-switch series but for an entry level Tige' boat it is pleasing to the eye. I didn't purchase the Tige' for the interior looks. It was the lack of vibration and the solid feel as you cut through the chop. The wife loves the growl the syncrotec gear reduction makes when slowing down.
The boat we purchased was the Switch V that was used for the AWA certification trials so it had the upgraded PCM 5.7 330 hp engine with Syncrotec gear reduction, Perfect Pass Wakeboard Pro edition, Wakeboard package and some upgraded trailer options.
Looking forward to getting out on the water. For now it's tower accessories shopping!

Switch V,
It's great to finally hear someone else purchased this boat. We had perfect pass wakeboard pro added also. When I looked at the boat I felt the same way as you, interior not plush at all but simplistic and useful. It has all the performance features of the 20V without the price. We also upgraded to the Indmar 335hp engine. The stereo is the only thing that I want to work on. Tower speaker are so expensive so as an alternative a buddy of mine makes speaker boxes that hold two sets of components and it sits on the ski pylon. Also that way you don't have to drill holes in your tower and mess with the wiring. When your not using these speakers just unhook them and throw the box in a storage compartment. We will see how it works. Can't wait to take delivery on the boat. Just a few more weeks.

My in laws bought the boat so I don't know exact price. It is the Switch V, options were the wakeboard package - tower, taps2. They also got the factory ballast, 4 tanks 600 lbs, bimini, board racks (2), no trailer, perfect pass wakeboard pro, upgraded vortec 335HP engine, and depth finder (not sure if factory or dealer is installing the depth finder). I think it ended up to be around $37,000 for everything including delivery but not tax.
Ruune, in the 2004 tige catalog the base engine is the 5.7 315HP carb, but you can get the PCM 5.7 or the PCM 6.0 (375hp), or the vortec 5.7L (335hp) vortec 6.0 (375hp) or a merc 5.7 (315).
