Almost forgot, Item 5 for the list...

5)FAE - is this still a good idea, or has it not caught on? has anybody put this on a 21V? Does it work as well as the website makes it seem for wakesurfing? Has anyone noticed any disadvantages from it?

Gotta love the 21V! Great boats, built like tanks. You just got a great looking example. We are able to surf well with a few people and 400# of ballast in the rear locker, but will be getting a 750 this year. Responds well to that and some weight on the side about the level of the rear tower leg. Speaking of towers, you have the original Metcraft. Keep all the joints tight or it can crack. Keep an eye on it as it has been through a lot of stress over the years. Also, the FAE is a great addition. Really quiets things down and keeps the exhaust under the water until past the surfer. Makes the stereo much better. You will have a great time this coming summer. Boats are a great family time.

The FAE is the first thing I would install. They are awesome. Many, many Tiges out there with FAEs on.

I would then put a new tower on. Samson.

The prop vs ballast issue would be next for me. Call ACME, ask for for Jim Thelen. He is the man. Get a prop for what ever ballast set up you plan to get from Mike. Obviously, you can get away with a simple set up for a season and then plan for a real system next off season. A pair of 400# V-drive sacs would serve you well. They are fairly cheap and you can use them for the front ballast when you upgrade the system. You could also just sell them. They are a fairly universal sac and easy to sell.

From there, everything else is just icing on the cake. Congrats on the new ride.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.
