Thanks for the link. Guess I missed the end of the original post. I might have to look into making myself one instead of my flap that I have been running.

They are very easy to install, they have 0 effect on factory transom lighting, handling, wakeboard wakes, skiing wakes and they are for real. It will not increase your fuel costs and there is nothing to break i.e. hydraulic pumps or electrical components.
For more detail info contact you local Tige dealer or contact the factory direct.
YES i have one coming...why...because I know what it does...and it is amazing...

Jmoore, Do you have any additional pics of your mod? Can you offer up any specs for us DIY peeps. I cannot afford to spend an extra 2k however I do have the time to try and build my own and access to the welding tools needed. However I am curious about how yours is mounting and dimensions. Could you share? And if there is going to be a bulk order placed let me know, please!

Ragboy I agree completely.
I find it interesting that people want a FAE when all of the boats now have a cataylst exhaust system which reduces the hydrocarbons to levels that are less then cars being made 6 years ago. I compare it to walking down a sidewalk and a 2006 Ford fusion drives by me and I hold my breath lol. FAE is not needed IMO for a boat that has an OBD2 and a full three way cataylst exhaust system.

I know, so many things on the list. I never did, but I need to. I will try to move that up on the list.
The TO forum search is not quite functional for old posts. I know I posted on info that suggested some cats scrub as little as 60-80% of CO. From memory, resulting levels might not be toxic but they fell squarely into serious headache-inducing levels over a few hours exposure.
We have a cat on our 409 PCM but I still run an FAE and will continue to do so until I track down info that the PCM cat scrubs 95%+. Ideally that info would come from PCM but ... if you happen to take measurements (no pressure ), then that would be awesome.
EDIT: to clarify, I am not expecting anyone to test -- rather, I think it is important not to make unsupported assumptions of how clean the PCM cat system is. I hope it is clean! But until the manufacturer shows that or it is demonstrated in some other way, I do not think we can assume sufficient CO is scrubbed so as to avoid all negative health impacts.
EDIT 2: Info above too low, sorry to have relied on memory. This thread cites sources reporting reductions as low as 80% and a marine cat report that peak production was 200 ppm (where 35 ppm can cause headaches and dizziness within 6-8 hours of constant exposure; 100 ppm can cause headaches in 2-3 hours; and carbon monoxide alarms go off at about 70 ppm).Last edited by Duncan; 07-09-2013, 08:30 PM.

Our 2013 RZR with ConvexVX retro fit(Not added from factory) and stock surf ballast, front 100%, Surf locker 100%. Driver and adult on starboard, Adult and child on port side. Wave cleans up a bit more with the other adult on the starboard side moves over but she wanted to sit there and watch so I didn't want to argue.
