Really? That seems to be the going rate for them around Wisconsin.

that is my take.. if they are high and you are low and a serious buyer they should find the middle ground! right?

My recommendation, shop your local dealer. Local to your home, or the place closest to where you do your boating. Undoubtedly you will need service work done on your boat. If you purchase your boat through one dealer because you're buying strictly based on price, then take your boat to your local dealer for service etc., you can rest assured your boat will not be as high of a priority as it would be if you bought from your local dealer. The dealer has valued customers who have purchased boats that will need service. Those boats will come before yours. Dealerships value their customers. Those customers value their dealership for the same reason.

Here is something I need answered. like my market my Tige dealer not authorized PCM repair. so with that said. How can you sell a boat and the MFG not require you to be or have a certified tech that supports the product?

Well for warranty work the dealer would have to be PCM certified for PCM to pay for the warranty work. Thats what he is saying. A better example would be a chevy dealer not having anyone GM certified for engine warranty work and that would be a NO GO!

I think that would be a foul on the dealer and Tige. How can you sell a product you can't do warranty work on? I'm not saying they don't have a qualified mechanic, but that they aren't factory certified. But I guess if the dealer does the work and eats the cost then ok, but if they send you to another PCM certified dealer thats unseat, in my mind.

I totally agree with you on we should be using our local dealers if possible. But some have had a negative experience and choose to go elsewhere, in that case I totally get it. If I wanted a malibu there is no way I would use the local dealer.

i deleted my post. not my intent. I think your a good dealer. I think i might have been out of line. its just not all dealers and markets are the same.

for the record never offended. Just think a dealer has a different view point then a buyer.

Why spend upwards of 5k more on a boat specifically for dealer loyalty? If I pay for my boat to be serviced, then it should be serviced correctly regardless of where the boat was purchased. I am purchasing the brand and still giving that dealer service.

Agree that the boat is a little high, but it does have a fair amount of upgrades also (e.g. Clamping board racks, etc.). $60-$63 would be a reasonable deal.

No offense taken at all. Completely understand your view, but regardless of the purchase location, all boats should be taken care of if the service is paid for.
