My recommendation, shop your local dealer. Local to your home, or the place closest to where you do your boating. Undoubtedly you will need service work done on your boat. If you purchase your boat through one dealer because you're buying strictly based on price, then take your boat to your local dealer for service etc., you can rest assured your boat will not be as high of a priority as it would be if you bought from your local dealer. The dealer has valued customers who have purchased boats that will need service. Those boats will come before yours. Dealerships value their customers. Those customers value their dealership for the same reason.Last edited by dreamintige'; 01-11-2013, 12:56 AM.

Well for warranty work the dealer would have to be PCM certified for PCM to pay for the warranty work. Thats what he is saying. A better example would be a chevy dealer not having anyone GM certified for engine warranty work and that would be a NO GO!
I think that would be a foul on the dealer and Tige. How can you sell a product you can't do warranty work on? I'm not saying they don't have a qualified mechanic, but that they aren't factory certified. But I guess if the dealer does the work and eats the cost then ok, but if they send you to another PCM certified dealer thats unseat, in my mind.

I totally agree with you on we should be using our local dealers if possible. But some have had a negative experience and choose to go elsewhere, in that case I totally get it. If I wanted a malibu there is no way I would use the local dealer.

for the record never offended. Just think a dealer has a different view point then a buyer.Last edited by WakerideN; 01-11-2013, 02:13 AM.2011 Tigé RZ4
