    Advice on boat

    Hey guys,

Some of you might remember me posting about looking for a RZR or Z1. I was looking new and have come across a few good deals and hoping to purchase within the next 2 months.

I ran across this RZ2 on ebay and it seemed like a good deal. What do you guys think? http://motors.shop.ebay.com/Boats-/2...=p4506.c0.m282

I am looking mainly to surf and my budget is right around 60k, wouldn't want to go any higher than 65. Would you advise a new Z1 or RZR over a used boat like this?

    Thanks,
    Anthony

my take. depends. what is market value and availability of a Z1 or RZR in your market? RZ2 is an awesome boat. I would bypass that auction and deal with the dealer though.

That is the Tige Dealer in Osage Beach, Lake of the Ozarks. We looked there last year when we were on vacation. Nice people and pretty knowledgeable. I found their prices to be a bit high, but they seemed like a trust worthy dealer.

Definitely would deal with the dealer. The RZR and Z1 are a litter harder to come by in Wisconsin, and some of the dealers have them listed quite high. Although, I know of a couple dealers in the area that would be willing to work with me.

The only thing that makes me nervous on purchasing brand new is resale value, although the Z1 and RZR seem to hold it quite well.

I see that they have it listed for $68,500 but I'm assuming there is some wiggle room there. My biggest question is whether or not you think I should purchase new, which would limit me to a RZR or Z1, or is the 162 hours on the RZ2 not that much?

162 hours isn't that much, but that boat is overpriced IMO!

What do you think a fair price would be?

offer them like 60k and see what they say. but I agree not that many hours, but you want to check condition ext... in my market that boat was selling for around 75k last year.

This is the pricing of a local dealer to me right down the road, they seem to be pretty high listing, but I have heard they work down on their prices quite a bit.

Missouri isn't too far from me and I would be willing to make the drive for the right price.

That might be a bit low, but you have to start somewhere. Why not there!!

So, what would be the cutoff for you guys? If you could get that RZ2 for 60k, would you take that over a new (2012) Z1 or RZR for a similar price?
