Usually get a day in just after ice out as long as we get a decent sunny 60 degree day, water temps in the upper 30's to 40. That gets the jonesin for a ride out of the way and I wait a few weeks for warmer water. Using a wetsuit and braving the temps we can ride starting in May and finishing in October.

I'm envious of you being able to snag rides in January!!

Coldest I've been was water 37 and air 32 with mixed snow/rain coming down. We have good winter gear and was very comfortable

Depends if this includes fishing, otherwise when the water temp goes below 76, were done.

Haha, you guys are nuts!! Last March 30, we were out in wetsuits in Colo, water temp was 53, but the air temp was close to 80. Is it June yet??

The coldest i have been in was 39 water temp, and 55 air temp with cloud cover- in a drysuit. Now days i have the 100 degree rule= water and air temp must equal 100 degrees combined to hit the lake! I never ride in a drysuit anymore just a thin cheap wetsuit. We trunked it Dec 1st 58 water, and 65 air temp.

I have done the low 50s but with a wet suit. Get a full wetsuit and it won't be so bad. A dry suit is even better.

                    Wow!!

                    that's positively tropical!!

Average for a summer here in the UK is 50F - max 60F if your lucky, but can be alot colder as last year.

very rare to go without some form of wetsuit, usually a steamer and odd occasion shortie..... :-)

I was out today in 45 air 43-45 water. And the driver still had to tell me when my set was done haha.

I am super comfortable in my gear.

It's nice to see not everyone is pansyass in Florida. Seriously though, if you aren't out in those temps, you shouldn't be out at all. Ever. Sell your boat and move to Ecuador.

                              Any pics?
You'll get your chance, smart guy.
