    22V Mod Thread

I wanted a place to share some of the mods I will be making to my new boat so I figured just keeping one thread running over the next few months is the best way to do that. Here are a few pictures to get it started...

Should be an exciting few months for you. What mods you planning on doing?

The first mod was to the bimini. I am a tall guy and dont like ducking under the bimini plus the way it was factory mounted didnt leave a good spot to mount my board racks. A set of 4 bimini clamps from DIY Wake and it it fits perfectly over the top of the tower.

The only other thing I have had time to do so far is build a wind screen since the orignal canvas piece was missing...

That is all for now but I talked my wife into letting me buy my own Christmas present so PerfectPass install will be next.

After that will be a ballast sytem then maybe a custom step/bench to help deal with the sloped transom.

Interested to see what you come up with here. That is my number 1 complaint with my 22v.

I havent started building anything yet but for the rear bench but I am thinking about something that would mount to both the transom and swim platform. It would mount to the transom using the 4 bolt holes where the grab bar is and then the base would sit on top of the swim platform to carry most of the load. I think the hardest thing about it will be coming up with a way to deal with the ammount of play/movement that I have in the swim platform but it still seems like it should be doable.

x2 on the sloped transom. I have thought about doing something like that but it hasn't happened yet. I think using the grab bar mounting spots could work. Curious to see what you come up with. I see you have a center bow cushion, could you take a pic of it for me and post it up?

Do you guys remember the guy who had a billet alluminum bench seat that attached to the rear grab handle? It was pretty sweet, but spendy. Seems like he wanted $350 or more for them?

I couldn't find anything with a quick search. Maybe somebody else has better searching skills?

yeah I do remember that post. If memory serves me right he made a small step to be able to get to and from the swim deck easier.

That was my thread. I do have one extra step right now. The step is 6061 Aluminum and is 29" long. If you do a search on this forum for "Custom step" I believe you will find it. I believe it was called custom step for Tige anyone interested. I am nervous about marketing them because of legality reasons. If someone is interested in purchasing my extra one I want $450 for it and I would like them to write a review on this forum as well as sign a waiver basically stating I am not responsible for any damage done to the boat by attaching the step to the boat. The step is all aluminum with stainless steel fasteners, aluminum is powder coated gloss black with a custom Sea Dek non slip pad on the top of it. To give you an idea on the quality and cost of making the step the top platform is 29" long 6" wide and 1" thick. If anyone is interested please PM me.

Guy, didn't you have pics too?

                          Here is the thread: http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18147

But no pics there. I thought for sure I remember seeing it and thought it was a reasonable mod for people with short legs

This link will take you to the thread and the page with pictures. The Sea Dek pad is the only thing missing in the picture and it is grey in color. I have used my prototype for a year and it makes such a difference in the boat that everyone who has been on my boat for the last year has made a positive comment.

That billet step looks nice but a little pricey for me. I was thinking something a little bigger possibly with an upholstered seat on it so you can sit on it to put boards on and what not. That is down the list a little bit though so it will probably be a little while before I get to that project.
