Final thoughts on a used 21v?

Thanks in large part to TigeOwners patiently answering all of my questions, I am close to pulling the trigger on this 21v:

    http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/n...397219061.html

I have seen it in person, test driven it, and talked to the mechanic. Everything seems to check out.

My last hesitation is that it has been listed on Craigslist for awhile (it keeps getting reposted). Am I missing/overlooking something? Or is it just that this is more of a Malibu/MC area (no Tige dealer nearby anymore).

Any final thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Older Tige's are a tough sell in many area's. They sit on craigslist here too.

Looks pretty sharp to me. If its been sitting for a while see if theres some wiggle room on the price. Older boats in our area tend to sell fast in the spring and summer. Winter of course they slow down. Dont look at what everyone else is buying. You just have to figure out if its the boat for you or not. And resale on just about any boat will always be less than what you paid for it, unless you got a steal.

Great boats. This one has less than half the hours mine has. Seems to have all the right stuff. Upgrade interior, has bimini (be sure you get him to show you how to put it up! Not that hard, but confusing the first couple of times you do it.) The original towers were not all that great, but that can be replaced when you wish if it is still sound. Never had a problem with mine until I hit the house with it backing it into the drive. Looks like a great boat. If it was maintained, you should have nothing to fear.

Some are going to tell you to worry about the tower, and that is going to cause that boat to take a beating on the price. It will break in a location usually covered by a pad. So be sure to remove the pads and inspect all of the welds. They usually crack before they break, keep an eye on it.

The alluminum trailer usually means that the owner had plans to dump it in salt water and that might scare people. Again, not a big deal if it was properly cleansed after each use.

I would suspect that is why it has been on the market for a while...and when you go to sell it, it will be on the market a while too.
            Be excellent to one another.

We bought almost exact same boat(except color) last spring and love it. Hours and everything are the same. We paid 19k for ours.
