RZR - Weight Sensitively

Hi All,

Had my 1st weekend out in my new RZR here in Australia weekend just gone.

We had a couple of teething issues that we are working thru, which hopefully will have sorted shortly .

The problem that is probably most annoying as im not sure how to fix it is that the boat seemed to be very drivers side heavy. It was most noticeable when towing a couple of the girls and lower speed and with about 40lbs weight difference between the driver and the passenger. but even when tied to the dock it seemed to lean towards to drivers side.

Its almost like there is ballast in the tanks even though i have tried pumping out with no success.....has anyone else had issues like this and if so what was done to fix it.

We had the same problem on our Z3 .... its very finicky but for just cruising around, we just ended up putting a bit of ballast on the port side. Let me know if you find a better solution!

Unfortunately it's normal and the only option I've ever found over the years is to either add ballast to the other side or moving people around not from side to side but across the back seat and just have them slide one way or another tell it's balanced.

We have the exact same problem on our RZ2. I sure as hell wish Tige would fix whatever the issue is. It makes no sense that the boats list to the driver's side when unweighted. In the past 4 years my family has owned a Supra, Axis, MB and Tige and the ONLY one that does this is the Tige and it was by far the most expensive of the 4.

I have a RZ2 and when the ballast is empty and the boat is tied off it sits level. My boat does not have factory ballast maybe having the factory ballast adds more weight to the driver side.

The RZ2 is very sensitive to weight shifts, and I sometimes have to ask people to move while under way to reduce the listing. It is much more sensitive than my prior 24V was. I assumed that was just due to the size of the boats.

I'm surprised to hear about it on the Z3. Given the size of the boat and what I hear about the lack of list when weighted for surfing, I just assumed it wasn't as sensitive.

My R20 has always sat level when empty. I'd have a conversation with the dealer to see if they could find some reason why it's listing to the side.

I just noticed Batty's concern that it lists even when empty at rest. My RZ2 doesn't have that issue, either. I would get that checked out.

Our RZ2 sits level when just docked or whatever. It is when we are just cruising around with no ballast it lists to the driver's side.

I was looking at a couple of photo's we took over the weekend and thought that it might be leaning when tied up because it is tied up to that side.

When im out next i will jump out of the boat while in the water and see if it leans to the drivers side.

Biggest problem i have is that i am adding a sub and box to the drivers side which will be around the 100lbs mark so im going to have to add weight to the passenger side just to even it out.

I drove a couple of demo boats before i bought the boat and that didnt seem to lean like this 1 tho.

We had one list while under way, we checked the trim plate in level position with a straight edge from the bottom of the boat and found the plate was off, we removed the plate and put it on plane with the bottom and it corrected the list.
Even if the plate was level you could move plate to compensate.

I have the same problem with my R20. Typically takes two people on the left (someone my size and a smaller woman) to keep it level. Glad isn't just my boat.

We have a 2012 RZR an do not have this problem at all.

What kind of sub are you putting over there and in what kind of box? 100lbs seems on the high side for a single sub.
