It is the size I think I want. All he said is it was his spare prop. It came off a ski supreme. And he says the color is due to just being in the water, and that's what happens to brass with age.

From the pic, it looks like I see CNC machining marks. If so, its not brass, its Nibral. And if it is a CNC Nibral prop, I doubt water would erode those CNC marks, which looks to be the case on the tips.
From what I see in the pic, I say the prop has been repaired.

Looks like it has been repaired to me too. I have never seen one of them discolor like that. Just traded in a 97 with the original prop and it still looked the same as new, just a hair darker but consistent color. Thats what booth brass and nibral usually do just darken slightly but it's almost always consistent. Like I said I have never seen one like that in my 38 years around inboards. That thing is 3 different colors and one is black!! Thats not from just being in the water!
If it's just tarnish a little brasso or metal polish should take it off.

On that note, after reviewing your thoughts I think it's best I pass on this opportunity. Just to many things could be wrong and being a Craigslist deal on top of it. The search for a smokin deal on a 537 continues.

Your sig says you have a 21V. Are you sure a 4-blade 537 is the right prop for you?

Acme and wakeprops.com said a 2000 21V w/ 1:46 blue box. Doing wakeboarding, tubing and surfing with minimal ballast (400-700lbs) that a acme 537 would be good and the next step would be a 1579. I would prolly rather have 1579 but there aren't many used ones out there. I thought for now if I could get into a 537 for cheap it would be better than the silly race boat prop under there now.

Your year 21v is a rare one with the 1.46:1 gear. most of that era have the 1:1 and need a 3-blade.
