    24 v Trailor

I thought that I had read somewhere about some blowouts on the extreme 24 v trailors but I cant find the same info. Anyone have any insight as to tire blowouts.

It’s not the 24 v trailers it’s every trailer with Carlisle Tires on it. Go on yahoo/google and type in carlisel tires and you will find plenty of info of people having blow outs on their trailers.

The carlisle tires were from a few years back. I had a set of those. Extreme trailers was excellent about getting those replaced.

My new 05 24V had some faulty valve stems that would cause the tire to lose pressure and then blow out. Extreme fixed that too. They have been great to work with in difficult circumstances. My understanding is that the faulty valve stems were found out pretty quickly and didn't get put on a lot of trailers. I bought my boat in August 04.

I think you are ready for a new 24ve. ;-)

I could sell your 24v in an hour!

We will be at the Dixie center Friday and Saturday for the home show. See you there...

            Carlisle Tires

We had troubles with those as well. Especially the bias ply tires. Radials were better. The solution for us was balancing the tires. They were coming in without wheel weights and they would "shake" going down the highway. This would cause extra heat and they would blow. If you have any cracks in your trailer fenders, balance the tires. Very few trailer companies balance the tires. They last longer and its easier on bearings when they are balanced. Over loading your trailer, driving too fast, forgetting to empty your ballast, too much beer in the boat...may all be contributing factors as well. Just my .02 from the great white north.
