To Allan and Ragboy, what do you have to do to become a prototype tester? I would be more than willing to test for the Ve's.

BGB? Any self-respecting, over-40, porsche enthusiast wanna-be knows that's a whale tail! Whatever you call it, looks like it works. Hoping someone gets it figured out so I can mount one on my '07 RZ2 by next summer.

What would this do on the RZ2/4 or 22/24Ve's that don't have this spray issue?

I have owned 3 of those boats, I think they all have wash issues. On the RZ2 for instance, weight yoru boat and run through the taps, not all positions are clean. Also on the RZ2, if you go taps up high, the wave distorts weird. This thing resolves that, clean in every position, plus longer, etc, etc. I can't wait to see how it effects and RZ2 or RZ4.

Every boat we have surfed on has some settings that work, and some that don't. The point here is to make a wake that works over a huge range, providing maximum adjustability.

This picture says it all to me. Represents all of the feedback we gave to Tige and their awesome engineering to produce the result.

Not to discredit all the hard work and devotion that's been presented here, but I do think Duncan's idea is probably where all the boat manufacturers will finally end up. Platform, shaper, ballast, gate....one unit. Mounted on or glassed to the hull.

Duncan writes: Glass the deck and the BGB together in one unit, separate the interior into two compartments, and pump water into one side or the other of the compartment depending on wave side.

The above one piece rig would also provide a nice flat side to mount a vertical (surfgate) trim tab (fill both compartments) for quick switching of wave side. Given that the Z3 has such little lean to begin with, perhaps the trim tab would function on the wave opposite side just fine.

Yeah, I am waiting a few years to buy that boat.

In the meantime, I will try out the strap-ons

I was thinking of ordering a Z3 this upcoming spring. I would definitely add the BGB to it. But I am also thinking that I should wait a few more years. Let them work the bugs out and engineer something even better. Oh this conundrum I face.

That is hilarious!!!!! Stap-on's. You made my day Duncan.

This kind of stuff will surely get a bunch of self proclaimed engineers to work, and from their hard work and effort we will all end up with an ultimate strap on mod and share success.

So if one of you guys has the guts and glory to start work on an RZ4 stap on, give me a shout. I'll share cost.

Ragboy, When are you going to perfect the timing of a rapid adjustment to TAPs while RJ is boosting to drop that wake a foot while he is mid-air?

Or if the pocket is longer when its less steep.... let him start his charge as you steepen the wake and let him boost at peak.

that would be fun. Its funny, but if you see how RJ is on the right, taps at 1 in that spot. If you crank the taps up to 7 or so while he is in that sport, its like an elevator and then throws him toward the boat. Same with Dennis. I have video of it, its pretty funny.

All I've got to say is I'm interested in getting one of these before next summer. Any idea when it might be available for all, or is it still in development stage?
