One "issue" I see is that you can not run an FAE with it. I know the CAT motors are much cleaner and quieter but you guys seem to love the FAE. Maybe there is something I am missing...but I guess time will tell. Cant wait to see it in action.

If it's based off my mudflap idea I think Tige should give me one A few years ago we talked on wakeworld about a hydraulic plate that would clean the wave like my flap. I think that's what this is. Makes sense.Build thread: http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/showthread.php?14787-Duffy-s-2005-24v-wakesurfing-mod-thread&highlight=duffys+24v

yuck! When I look at these pics I see only bad to come from it.. Looks like a big plate that will cause lift in the rear I dont want that! I wish our lake was not closed.. My setup is about done and its MUCH simpler and looks alot cleaner.. My wake is also just as clean if not cleaner!www.1320diesel.com Home of the Fastest Diesels!

I am not sure if it removes easily or not, I will look. I can tell you that the deck doesn't fold down easily anymore.
I still plan on taking out Raquel Hoffman in the coming weeks and will post. We did check out the wakeboard wake, and it looked the same, only the rooster seemed smaller, which makes sense that this would not touch the water, but knock down the rooster. That seems like a positive change to me.
here is a pic from before the device:

It almost seems like the sides would have to be touching, possibly shaping the wake differently if it makes any difference at all in the rooster tail.

Who cares about ugly??? Man, if it makes the wave better isn't that what we all want? I knew that Tige' was working on something, I didn't expect this... I was expecting something that hung below the hull or some other weed and log catcher... this is way better!
One thing that could make it more attractive is to blend it with the swim step? Take out the gap and make it look like one piece. Ohh, maybe the whole swim step could bet the wake shaper!?!?
