Hey Everybody!!!! I am in a little bit of a dilemma. Currently I own a 2012 Rz2 and want to upgrade to somethin a little bit bigger. I was decided on the Z3 until my dealer recently started carrying Nautique. So I started looking at the new super air G23. I know most people will be pretty biased, as this is a tige forum, but anyone that has ever owned/driven both boats can give me any pros and cons to both would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Price comparison? They aren't even in the same ballpark. The G23 is a HUGE boat, it's 5,400 lbs dry! Add in 65 gallons of fuel and some gear and you are over 6,000 lbs without the trailer. It doesn't have a choice but to throw a big wakeboarding wake with that much mass. What level of wakeboarders are in your family? I know that a giant wakeboarding wake can be VERY intimidating for some so keep that in mind. I've never been on the G23, only seen the pictures and videos of it. I wrote up a review on the Z3 on here somewhere.
I agree with those above, demo them both! That's a lot of money to put out without a test drive of the different boats in this size class.

I think you are going to be looking at a 30-50k price difference in these boats. If that isn't an issue at all to you go demo them both and make your decision. From everything I have heard you need at least the 450hp motor option in the G23 and the 550hp supercharged motor is really the way to go.

Good dilemma to have. As said above, it would be good to know what you and your crew do the most. The G23 was designed as a wakeboarding boat, and the Z3 as a surf boat. Both might be capable of doing the other, but their marketing is clearly slanted towards 1 discipline.Be excellent to one another.

We are mostly into wake boarding, but we would have done more surfing in the RZ2, if we didnt need at least 5 people in the boat everytime...The Price difference is only about 10k as we are getting a great deal on both. We are actually goin down to Orlando in a couple weekes to test drive a G23. Haven't driven the Z3, but will def do that before I decide on either. I know how important it is to try out the vehicle before you buy it. Thanks for all the replies guys!!!! OH and we would be gettin the G23 with a 450...

At only 10k in price difference either G23 prices have dropped drastically or Z3 pricing has gone up drastically. I hadn't heard of a G23 going for less than 125k so far. Sounds like you have a good hold on things though. Go demo and go from there. If wakeboarding is your main focus the G23 is probably your best bet.

Maybe I shouldn't be revealing secrets like that...
Maybe on the other hand, Slone is getting hosed by his Tige dealer. He was thinking both boats were a 'good deal', so take that for what its worth.
I am stoked to see how this one ends.
I think that a test drive on the Z3 is a must for wakeboard enthusiasts. Surfers could buy it and take it sight unseen. There are videos of a few Tige riders really killing it, but less talk about what a great wakeboard boat it is on this forum. I think we just need more wakeboarders to buy them.Be excellent to one another.

Just doing a quick search online the cheapest (only G23 I found with a price) was 115k. That is with 20 hours on it and the ZR409. So once again just based of what I have heard and that little search a G23 with the 450hp engine for only 10k more than a Z3 seems crazy. If that is the case buy the G23 simply based on the value.
