My Rev 10s have been tuned with an SMD Distortion detector. They sound amazing. I think 585 watts is a tad too much for Rev 10s. I would love for Tim White to jump in here and give us his thoughts on running the Rev 10s off the sinister series amps.

Whether you want it to or not, if you are playing your system at a loud volume the amplifier can still clip, even if you adjust it so that the max output of the amp is set to the point just before it clips. Music is dynamic and the peaks in the music can be all over the place.
I have no clue what the max, unclipped output is of the Syn4 but we could assume that it is at least 400W (the RMS rating) to each Rev10. Unless you tuned it with the -15db or maybe the -10db track, the amp could still be outputting over 400W at certain peaks in the music and would be sending distortion to the speaker.
If we also assume that the SD6 has a max, unclipped output of 585W to the Rev10, this means it has a lot more clean power to play with during those peaks in the music. That doesn't mean the speaker can handle it, just because it is clean. Your ears should be able to tell you pretty quickly what the speaker can handle.
Distortion and abuse is what will kill the speaker. You will blow a speaker much easier with too little power than by having too much power (no such thing actually).
One issue I may run into is that I may not have a ton of play in the volume level of the Rev10's. They may get too loud, too quick and I may have to compensate by lowering the source volume or the output level of my line driver so that I have a good, usable range.
The reality is that, configuring the system like this, vs the original design with a SD6 on the in boats and a SD2 on the tower, there's not a big cost impact. I'll have plenty of power to the tower for when the Rev12's come out.
I'm sure Tim will comment but here's what he said yesterday:
'Yeah, that would work. And I think would work well. You net almost 150 watts per in boat.
So solid power. Plus the rev would be getting tons of power! Pretty cool way to run it as well. I like showing the flexibility and options that were never really possible before. So that would be cool
So yeah, I would say. 2 sd6 and 1 sd2'
