Cold Weather Worries

Has anyone tried those magnetic heaters? Like this:

They work really good. Back when I went to school in Duluth, we used to use one to warm up engines that wouldn't start when it was below zero.

I'm temped to buy an engine block heater and put it in a freeze plug hole next year. Just for some peace of mind.

2000 20CI, OZARKS. I cracked a block 3 days after halloween a few years ago. Who would have thought one 25 degree night.... Now I just drain the block into the bilge. Open the pet cocks and drain. Only takes 3 or 4 minutes. M&M
