cleaning wake/extending pocket

Different size boat, different wave problems. I think many of the 20 and 21 foot Tige owners have reported spray issues. For example, Squid has some super duper wave smoothing mystery tech waiting for a reveal.

O well that sucks then

Is it bigger than a bread box? Is the device found in a kitchen? Could I buy it at Walmart? How many more questions do I have?

Have you added some sort of mod similar to surfgate?

Well when this project started I was just trying to make my little surf boat perform a little better. As a reminder, this is on a Z1 and not from an RZ2 or Z3 so keep that in mind when critiquingAfter I built my first prototye out of steel (just to see if it worked)I thought I might me on to something. I then built two versions out of aluminum and now have my current one powdercoated (powdercoat not shown).

So....sent Tige some pics of the wave and they agreed to have me out to show them my device. Little did either of us know that what I had backyard engineered would be so close to what you guys have seen today with the BGB. Short answer: looks like I was a little late to the party (even if I think mine looks better).

My first device was perfectly flat and allowed for adujsting the pitch. Interestingly, adjusting the pitch really did not help with the wash as much as having it flat.

With that in mind I made the second (and current) fixed and put arches on each side to hopefully aid in shaping the wave.I will get some pics of it on the boat and post.

Also, it does not affect the wakeboard wake if anything it may even clean it up a little.

To me, that's validation! I would be pumped that I came up with something that so closely resembles a part that the factory is going to sell all on my own!
