    cleaning wake/extending pocket

I have posted a pic previously in another thread of a project I have working on but wanted to provide better before and after pics here. I have been working on a device to clean up the face of my surf wake and extend the pocket. Can't share details of the device but did want to show off the results. These pics are of of my surf wake behind by 2010 Z1. In both pics the camera placement, weighting, taps, and speed are all identical. The only thing different in one pic I have the device on and in the other it is off.

So the purpose of this thread is to ask us which picture looks like a better wave? You tease too much. Give up the details

Frankly, from the pics, I cannot tell. There is less splash, but who cares, the splash has been at the portion of the wave nobody rides on.
    Be excellent to one another.

I know it's not what is making the difference but is your platform shorter? From the pics, it looks like the back end is cut off.

Tall, the purpose is just to start thread that I can come back to periodically and provide updates with hijacking someone else thread. I completely disagree with you that the wash is not a big deal and is on a portion of the wave nobody rides on. The wash is so bad on my boat that it is constantly in my face to where I cannot see and washes out the top of my curl. If I can get around to it I will post the video which shows even better. The part I can't quantify is how much better the eave rides but there is a huge difference. I'm not ready to post details but hope to soon.

No, it's a stock platform. Cutting that down is next on the list.

I dont see the point of the flap or whatever is going on here.. With the boat weighted right I dont get the spray and the wave is nice and long. But I love seeing new ideas. Hopefully your on to something

Took me a while to see the significant difference, but I finally found it. That spray in the center is huge and I see how it can get in your face.

I am guessing some mod with TAPs.

looks like the second pic has a huge double-lip going right through the middle of the wave.

What is the mudflap I've heard about? What is it supposed to do?

Different size boat, different wave problems. I think many of the 20 and 21 foot Tige owners have reported spray issues. For example, Squid has some super duper wave smoothing mystery tech waiting for a reveal.

Is this before or after you cut the platform? I don't have any issues with my RZ2 wave either but it is a different boat.
