Turns out I was wrong... looking at the pics again this boat is from Stateamind originally. The guy bought it in the US this spring and spends his summers in Alberta and sells it after the season. Sounds like he's done this a couple of times.
    Any knowledge of this boat?

I seen your pics while trolling these forums and your surf wave seems legit Can you add the factory ballast tanks after the fact? Isn't it a hard tank up front from the factory? Its the only one I'm worried about as the back corners are easy to set-up with bags.
Seems like you need to hit the throttle a little on the wakeboard pic to hit the sweet spot and narrow up that wave a bit!

I am definitely leaning towards the Z1. I think it will sit higher up in the water and our lake tends to be a little rough sometimes
I have heard of a couple porpoising issues on the 2008's, anyone here have that problem?
And lastly, just out of curiosity how much fuel do people use on an average day? (say hours used/cost to fill/activities)
I have a 400# factory sac in the front, I do have it full at all times,Cruising, surfing or boarding. It takes care of the porpoising issue. If you do not have weight in the front the Z1 does like to porpoise.
Mine came with 08 factory ballast, 400# Sac in the front and 250# tanks in each rear compartment. I pulled the port tank and added the sac, on the starboard I run the tank full with a 400# sac on top of it.
If I put in a full 8hr day on the water I use about 20 gallons of gas

The Z1 will impress you on how it handles the rough water also. I wish you could try both of them out. that is the only way to know for sure.

Going plenty fast enough for us
I actually like being able to cross the wake occasionally instead of turning back to the flat everytime I get close to it

I was also a little leary of this. Guy says he sold this boat to 'Bob' for lack of a better term. Bob used it very little and always had him service it. Bob then ran into a little money and traded it in for a Sanger V237..... I wish I had Bob's money!

Can you add the factory hard tanks after the fact....yes if you could locate them by why?

For surfing, you will need and want more then what the 250# hard tank on the surf side will offer. For boarding, you will want more as you progress.

Tige boats on average do have a deeper gunwale. This puts the hips and knees level for an average person. The seatbacks are also taller, so the cushions hit you more toward the shoulders rather then in the small of the back.
