Wet Sounds New Z3 demo boat

Agree with many that it is a cool and unique look.

I think one aspect that some of us overlook is this boat is not just recreational for Tim and WS -- it needs to stand out for WS to get additional notice. Notice is hard to garner with yet another high gloss chromed out flashy boat that is the norm in the industry. This Z3 will certainly be noticed.

Another factor is Tim and WS have the advantage of not having to hold on to a boat for 10+ years. So they can take bigger risks because they will not have to live with it forever if the project does not turn out how they planned.

So, I think the rat rod Z3 is marketing genius and a cool look but do not think we will see many more like it (i.e., not a trend).

It is certainly unique and I am pretty sure that is what Tim was aiming for.

I love the look on the trailer, I'm not sure how it's going to look on the water but I think it will get noticed and the equipment will get noticed too. Nice job Tim and Tige for going out on a limb and trying something different. Thank goodness it doesn't have clowns or skulls or guns in the wrap, or the new retro 80s neon colors.

Very well put. I think its a great execution for its intended purpose. Would I build one like this for my personal daily driver? Never. Is it a badazz show piece. Hell ya! If I was at a boat show and saw it, I would hang out for a long, long while checking it out. I would then procede to walk around and look at everything else and then go back to it and probably buy some speakers.

Job well done. Big fat thumbs up from me.

Can I vote for next years theme yet? I vote HotBoat. **** (Richard) Vale was the master Cole painter. The double ZZs. They would look tight on a Z3.

I have not said a word thus far... but over all.. not a fan of it. I think on paper it was a great idea... but in real life not one of those things that come out like WOW! I think Tim has some very amazing ideas, and that has shown over the years.. but not a huge fan of this setup. The past ones... jaw dropping to me.

Very unattractive and unappealing, almost gross. Thinking about a new Z3 this spring for the kids and looking at this thing is a complete turn off. As for Wetsounds equipment, love it, wouldn't waste my money on anything else.

I personally like the boat, the fact that it is different and will for sure turn heads. People must remember that it's a wrap, it can be changed anytime, take the wrap off an put regular Z3 decals on it. I think Tim did a great job picking his theme and implementing it on this boat. I seen the boat prior to the wrap and trailer and it looked awesome just all blacked out. As with most things the pictures probably do not do this boat justice. Its also nice to see a wrap without the skulls and cartoon characters on it. Good work Wetsounds and can't wait to see the stereo install!!

you say wow, that thing is hideous, but its a work of art, it has an image, it goes against the grain put that boat in a room and it will get more attention than other boat you add, because of how strikingly different it is. Some will hate it, some will love it. everyone will recognize it...

I like it. If it were mine I think I would do a bit more rust and matte finish. It would be cool to have rusty looking vinyls too. Overall I would buy it.

I knew there would be some that don't and thats OK. Rat Rod's and Hot Rods arent for everyone.

Loudelectronics, the wrap is matte. it is all flat.

From a distance the boat looks matte black. up close you can see the detail of the rust and patina. really need to see it in person. Josh Sirlin did an amazing job with the wrap. He hand drew the rust and patina. True artist

Some have hit the nail on the head. The last boat was awesome but I started to see a trend with the wrap style and even had about 6 people ask the wrap company for the exact same wrap! This one I wanted to do something never done before and something that i didnt think anyone would do again LOL

I am also building a 1930 Ford Model A 4 door rat rod. Here it is. So i have been collecting parts and ideas. Once the rod is done. It will have a hitch on it to pull this boat and really finish off the theme. A couple of other Rat's that i used for inspiration on the wrap. And somewhat where I am going with my Rat.
