2008 - Z1 or 22 VE!

Hey Everyone!

I'm new to the site and I am possibly looking to purchase a Tige boat. I am just trying to get myself familiar with this brand. What is the better boat in your opinion. 2008 Z1 or the 2008 22VE. I guess it can depend on all the options but I would like to hear your opinions to start. I am looking to wake surf, wakeboard and tube. I am a beginner surfer.

I think they are both good boats for both wakeboarding and surfing. The bigger question might be are you already looking at two specific ones and what are their options? If not already two specific ones how did you narrow it down to a 2008? Do you have need for a 22 foot boat, how many people will you have with you? Do you need a 21 foot boat, that is all that will fit in your garage?

I believe the 22Ve is a wider boat as well. If you are looking for ballast you are actually better to not have the factory and install your own. The built in tanks cause for the batteries to be pushed out in the locker and you will need to deal with that.

I am biased but we love our 22Ve. I know there are many on here that love their Ve's but there are just as many that love their Z1's.

The Ve will have a few things that the Z1 doesn't like air/water temperature readings, a few inches of width, and an extra tracking fin on the bottom for handling. Both put out nice surf waves and wakeboarding wakes so that's really a tossup. I'd say that you need to drive both and see which one fits your needs the best.

I'm in the same bost (no pun). I'm looking to upgrade my 21i to a z1, a 22v or maybe a rz2. Hopfully some good deals will pop up in the offseason.
