    WHERE OUR BOATS CAME FROM...

2000,20CI, Ozarks, Went to the International meeting for Antique and Classic Boat Society. Held this weekend in Branson MO, Table Rock Lake. Check out 'Woody Boater' website!! What a show! My son wanted to wake board behind a 1939 direct drive w/ a 12 cylinder Scripps engine. The hulls looked like new mahogany furniture. I put my blades on so the chrome would not hurt my eyes. At least a hundred boats to wish for and dream about. These boats were in the water and most of them were 'drivers'. The show and meeting is in Idaho next year. If you get a chance to go, do it. M&M

they do a nice woodie show every year in mccall idaho. I would guess the national one will be in cour de alene idaho.. boats are amazing to look at. not sure I'd ever own one as the upkeep has to be expensive and time consuming, but if it's what you are into, they are amazing machines..

I've been to the last 2 in Coeur D'Alene and they are beautiful. There is still a company here that makes new wooden boats, they made the wooden wakeboard boat you might have seen on this site and WW.

Here is a picture of me standing next to my Dads 1952 Chris Craft Riviera. I've posted the pic before on here, so forgive me, but I just love talking about his boat. It is a LOT of work, but isn't everything nice worth owning? He has to dip it 3-5 times each year at the beginning of the season to get the wood to expand, but then once its good, its like riding a Harley on Water!
