2013 changes

So I went to local dealer and checked out a 13 RZ2 and R20. There are some nice changes for 2013, and also some things Im not sure what I think yet. We werent able to get on the water with them yet to see what we thought of seat/touch changes

Pros
-New seat, looks great, feels great
-NEW SEAT IS AWESOME!!!!
-Tige Touch seems to respond quicker then 12 model
-Tige Touch Blutooth option
-Stiffer foam in rear removeable seat cushions
-boxed in front ballast bags on RZ2 and RZR( looks nice but less room for putting a board under the observer seat
-New interior colors (more like a mastercraft)
-locker area rear wall is now hard plastic vs carpeted in 2012s
-extra lighting options on Touch for additonal lights

Cons
-The two models my dealer had interior fit was horrible, seats were not matching up height wise, and terrible misalignment
-Front ballas boxed in area, less area to stuff a board up under the observer seat.
-less storage in the starboard side helm area as ballast box took up space
-rear platform still not finished on bottom side

The 2012s I saw had that boxed in area for the front ballast which I didn't like, took up too much room for where I sore most of my gear, especially in front of the helm, all my lifejackets go in there.

Yeah, I'm afraid that wouldn't work too well for my subwoofer under the driver's helm either.

Only the pro ballast systems have boxed fronts, the rest are open.

The RZR and R20 don't have Pro Ballast options but I've heard that they have hard tanks in the bow for 2013.

Yeah, I'm afraid that wouldn't work too well for my subwoofer under the driver's helm either.

We fit a 2cu ft ported box up under the helm in my 2012 RZ2 without losing a bit of legroom. Had to cut out a section and move the heater but it fits. Not sure how big that box is you have for the XXX V2 but I am betting you can fit it.

The XXX V2 box was designed for the RZ2....

I didn't lose much leg room at all but that's because the enclosure extends further back, towards the bow and touches the part where the shock is for the seat. I don't have a pic of it but the enclosure actually acts as a shelf I use to put ropes and bumpers on once you flip open the bow seat back.



I guess it depends on where the hard tank stops. I had to push the ballast bag further forward in order to get the enclosure where I wanted it. The RZ2 has a little more room in there than the RZR.

And by this you mean the fully colored interior like their PWT boats with the orange and line green vinyl or???????????????????
