As it has been said, not a bad boat and based on the cost, a great deal. I started with a '01 21i and while it didn't compare with today's boats, it put a smile on a lot of faces. Actually people were surprised by the wake- it wasn't huge but had a nice shape and was very solid. The wake washed over easily and was not very good for surfing. I used 2- 500# bags in every placement possible. But at that price you are getting into a low hours, very clean boat that will provide a lot of fun.

I will point out another less expensive option that you may want to consider. Try an extended pylon instead of a tower. I think you can buy one new for under $500 and many times find one on Craig's List for under $200. This will give you the same pull point as a tower at a fraction of the cost. Then if you decide to upgrade boats in a couple of years you won't lose the investment in the tower. And face it, when you sell the next buyer will more likely buy the boat to ski not wakeboard.

          Bummer.

Ok, the first one. Here is an odd duck. It's got the 2000 dash and the 2000 trunk. They also look like 22i pieces. I don't recall ever seeing one of the dashes on a 99 21i. I also don't recall seeing one in brown and woodgrain. Could be a very late 99 I suppose. Tige is known to change things mid-year or whenever the new stuff is ready. It really makes identifying these things difficult. Check the HIN. The hours are dead on. The sub on the floor at the drivers feet is funky. Tower is garbage. Literally. It's what's known as the Metcrap. Metcrap was building these early towers for Tige. They suck. Bad. Towers were a new fangled item on boats at that point of history. The boating manufacturers have learned a lot since then.

The other one looks like a 98.

Personally, I would pick the '99. Better dash, better trunk, tandem axle trailer. It also has a better chance of having the 315hp Merc motor. That was right about the time they bumped it up from 300hp. I sure do like colors on the 98 better. These are just personal preferences though. I really like that dash pod. It's one of the best they ever produced. But that one is brown. The tandem axle trailer is probably the biggest item though. I would never buy a single axle trailer.

Really you should look at both very carefully. How they have been maintained is going to determine the value.
