But she goes out in the boat and does stuff.

Gotta thank and appreciate your better half if they help out. I am waiting for the kids to get old enough that they can do it instead.
I haven't taken the time to show my wife how to back the trailer so she stays in the boat with the kids for the 1min drive from the house to the ramp. I back the trailer down almost all the way, hop out and unhook the bow strap. We then trade places and she backs the trailer down the rest of the way while I pull the boat off. She parks the truck and trailer while I go through checking everything out on the boat, calibrating the speedo, etc.

She could back the boat off, no problem but I like to be the first one to drive the boat just to make sure everything is cool. There's also just something (to me at least) about turning the key for the first time and taking a quick cruise.

When we are done for the day, my wife drops me off, I back down the trailer and she drives the boat up. I think she's actually gotten to be a better driver than me!

2 Hours for me. I takes 1 hour and 15mins to get the boat out of the garge and wait on the girls to leave the house, and 30mins to the lake, but we have a 15min pit-stop for gas/ice/drinks. 2 hours for a less than 30min drive to the lake.

This is a very touchy subject for me. Our boat sits on a lift 200 yards from my front door. I literally need to throw on some shorts, put on some sunscreen, grab a towel and some drinks. Ready to roll by 9:00. And I turn to look at my wife to ask if she is ready, and she's vacuuming the carpets!!!!

Idea: Redirect her energies to vacuuming the carpets in the BOAT. Problem solved!

We are lucky we leave the boat at the family cottage on a lift. Kids wake up at 7:30am and after breakfast, cleaning up, sun screen application and swim suits on the kids are swimming, tubing, skiing and knee boarding with me by 8:30/9:00 am.

Now that does not include the wives. They have to shower (which I still have not figured out what the shower is for. 20 mins after they shower they put on sun block and are in the lake water??), blow dry hair and prepare a mid morning snack for the kids. So I usually see them around 10:00/10:30 every morning. I have one disclaimer my wife is usually on the SUP from 6:30 till 8:30 am.

If we are not hung over I can have my buddy who is 7 cottages west of me surfing in 30 minutes from eyes open.

Then when you're getting ready to go, tell her the boat needs vacuuming. That puts her in the boat. The cord will yank out as you pull away from the dock. It will look a bit weird having a vacuum cleaner on board, but at least you'll be out on the water.

Our process is less than 15 min to load the boat and hook up the truck. We typically go out 2xs a week after work, so I pull the boat to work 30 min away, then swing out of my normal commute 10min to the close lake. Once at the lake, it's typically 10 min to pop the cover and drop the boat into the drink. We board/surf depending on conditions for a couple hours, then trailer back home.

We live 5 min from the closest ramp. Still takes us 30 to pull the boat out and uncover. The best part is the drive home though.

Agree depends who is going. Buddies--up and gone--eat on way. My wife has to get ready and done up even if we are going dirtbiking in the middle of no where. I say you have full gear on and no one is going to see you. She says you never know if I crash and the medics come---I say --- Im a paramedic and I dont care if you have makeup on..LOL Now that becomes even more important if you are on a boat in a bikini and more people around. LOL sometimes you gotta miss the glass for a piece of---hey will try again tomorrow. Sorry if that crossed the line, I dont really feel that way just thought it was funny.

Good question, and one that has been driving me nuts for two years. Our boat is on a lift, 200 yards from the house. If it were just me, 30 minutes from when I wake up. It takes time to get the knees and back loosened up. Unfortunately I have not figured out how to drive and ride behind the boat at the same time.

So realistically its at least 30 minutes after the next person gets moving. Usually not before 11:00! 10:30 if I am lucky.

That time table will need to change next year if I buy the used 21V I am looking at.

                              Perhaps one of these?

Looks like it could use a little more ballast!
