Some updates
So, I figured I would add any updates about our Tige to my old post instead of starting a new one. We were hoping to make a lot of changes this year to it but instead it has been more about getting mechanical things fixed. No new killer sound system but a newer deck to allow for Ipod/MP3 player connection. The biggest problem was the issue with water building up in the bilge. Before winter last year I never got a chance to find the problem. Well I finally got a chance just recently on a weekend we didn't go out on the lake and found the leak in the starboard exhaust pipe.

After figuring out how to get it out, I cleaned it up and found that it had been fixed once before. Whatever they used was not fiberglass, almost seemed like bondo.

Cleaned it all up, wrapped it in some new fiberglass and put it back in. Bingo! The boat is staying dry!
The original owner added a Fresh Water Cooling Kit so it made winterizing a breeze last year as everything other then the exhaust manifold and shower run raw water. The heater and most of the motor is all antifreeze. Man, that made it a breeze!

We are still in the processes of getting better ballast. The boat came with two 350 lb Fat Sacks and that was it. I found out quickly the previous owners were not up to speed on what this boat could really handle for weight. But, it made for a fun start at the end of last season. With the two sacks in the rear compartment and with the help of a few friends, we got an okay wave and the wife had no problem going wireless.

The Tige color swoosh on the rear compartment door has seen better days. The previous owners had it re-sewn a few times but the material has finally given up the ghost. We planned to re-do most the interior this year but didn't get too far as the weather is just to dang good to be working in the shop! We did get this one redone.
The new cover and this will be what the rear three compartment door colors will be.

It is a start. Most of the interior will be redone in a mix of the beige/tan like the original and this new green. Nothing fancy but should look good when I ever get it done.
Also been working on all the dock rash and scratches on the hull. Again, the previous owners were not concerned on how it looked, only making sure it ran. So there is a lot of rash around the hull. Making slow progress and she is starting to shine again! The last major issue is with the trailer. The bunks are about ready to fall off. In a couple of weeks the boat will go in the water for awhile so this will give me a chance to strip the bunks and redo them. Thanks to the great people on here, I have received some great info in another post on how to replace these.
So that is a quick update on our new Tige. It has been a blast to have and really enjoy the versatility of it. From tubing, knee boarding, skiing, wake boarding and wake surfing. It may not be brand new, top of the line out there but does an exceptional job for what we want.
As I work on the interior or any other picture worthy items, I'll add them here.
