New Tige Owner

The last few years, I have been hooking my boat up to the hose with the inboard water hook-up (basically a plunger with a hose connection). I let the engine run until the thermostat turns on, then I have a 5 gallon container of anti-freeze that sits on the swim platform and hook it up to the plunger and run the engine until I get a steady flow of antifreeze coming out of the exhaust, and I turn on the shower until antifreeze is coming out of it. A little bit more expensive to winterize this way but less labor.

I have wanted to do this. Do you just have a short piece of hose that goes from the fak a lake to the bucket with the hose just freely in the bucket? Or did you rig a bucket that has a hose connector on the bottom? Do you use more than 5 gallons of RV antifreeze?

But I like this one better because it looks like you can hook your hose directly to this kit and then switch with out having to unhook from the plunger

I end up using about 4.5 gallons with my shower and heater.

So after some SNAFUs with our lender, we finally got it this afternoon and took it out immediately for a few hours on the lake. It was soooo AWESOME!! Will get some more pictures tomorrow when it it light out.

Nice boat, Welcome! I've been on Newman once, we usually go out on Hayden Lake, Twin Lakes or CDA. If you see a blue RZ2 on Newman, come over and say hi, but I'll probably motor over to you, I get excited to see Tiges on the water. I actually live in Spokane Valley, closer to Liberty Lake, so Newman is very close for me, and it's a much nicer boat launch than Liberty.

I was on CDA yesterday and the water warmed up to 71 by the afternoon. I think with the cooler weather we'll be sticking closer home and I hope to hit up Newman one or two more times.

Hey Ewok! We are not too fond of Newman Puddle but went there today since we were short on time. Will be on CDA next week, will be launching at the BLM launch near Cedars restaurant Saturday and Sunday. Friday afternoon not sure if we will be on Newman or CDA since I have to work half the day. Will keep my eyes peeled for you! Would love to find other Tige owners in the area.
Found a few things tonight that need work but nothing major. At least the major mechanical items are in good shape. Just a few accessories that need attention and need to wax out the dock rash. Soooo loving having this boat!!

Have you been on Hayden? We love it, it's a little spendy for the launch fees but I think that keeps the riff raff out. We like it much more than CDA, its just as pretty, the houses are just as big, but it doesn't have cruisers and it's much calmer.

I just looked up BLM, I usually put in at Higgins point, it avoids the crazy boat traffic near the town, and there is a nice quiet riding spot down there as well.

I busted a rib during a tubing incident on Hayden about 10 years ago. That was the last time I was on it. Seemed like a good lake. Will have to give it a try. The only two launches I knew of at this time on CDA was the resort and Post Falls. The BLM one has a great big boat ramp to launch up to 4 boats at a time and a large parking area. It is $6 to park but seems nice. Will have to check out Higgins Point.

I'm taking out some friends on Sunday, probably to Hayden since the kids love the beach there. I hate the beach, its just fine dirty gravel and my kids get more excited about the dang beach than the boat.

So here are some interior shots of the boat. Sorry it took so long, been busy working and boating trying to use up as much of the weather we have been having before the boat has to be put away.

The only really upholstery problem is the left rear compartment where the multi color 'swoosh' they have in it has separated. Easy fix for me this winter. Will remove and just put a solid color down. Also the teak swim deck needs a good staining. Also will do this winter.

Looks great! Did you get out this weekend? I got out today on Hayden and it was great, very few boats, very smooth water, but a little chilly, definitely getting to be wetsuit weather.

Yes we did, Friday afternoon on CDA, Saturday afternoon on Newman and today on Newman. Traffic wasn't bad on Newman so it made it nice and today we finally got the boat dialed enough that the wife was able to surf without the rope. Killer day!!!
