    08 E-series tower "wobble"

When riding across the water, WITHOUT towing anybody, my tower "wobbles" from side to side quite a bit. I realize its going to wiggle when riding across water solely from the weight of the tower/boards/pull from bimini, but is the tower designed to do/withstand this to keep it from ripping through the fiberglass?

    Thanks

Trust me, that Tige E series tower is built well. I think Ive only see one with a cracked weld, and that tower design was used from 04 through 08 and I think into 2009 and 2010 on the 20V and 20i as they didnt get fitted with the Alpha-Z.

I can tell you exactly where to check for loose mounting points. If you wanted to shout at me, its probably easier to tell you over the phone, rather then type it all.

Have you nicely tightened all set screws and fittings? we have this issue occasionally with our 07 22Ve and find 1-2 need redone and things are fine after. Ours will vibrate a little but no big wobbles. Hopefully others will chime in.

Ill go through it thoroughly and tighten everything I can find. If it doesn't solve it, I may give chpthrl a call.

        Thanks for the input guys!

Recently, I had new tower speakers installed. Unfortunately, the shop that did the work didn't properly reinstall the tower and thus it was not aligned properly. This resulted in tower wobble.
I paid to have the tower properly aligned and every screw/bolt secured. Now the tower is as good as new - no wobble. My advice is to make sure everything is in alignment and the screws/bolts are all secure.
          Good luck.
