I don't have a tige touch, I have traditional gauges. This makes life easy and more enjoyable on the water. Gauges are for giving us information at a glance. There not intended to be a toy. I don't have an iPhoney or drone phone either, and this too makes life much easier. Simple is simply better.

Agreed. I would beg tige to make the tige touch an option not standard.

Same here. I like it. No chance I would own another boat without one. It's not perfect but it does work very well IMO.

I love the TT. Sure it could use some tweaks. That is why it's nice it can be updated with a USB.

I really didn't mean this to be a negative thread at all. I also should have clarified when I mentioned any other suggestions for improvements that I was asking for TT improvements.

Something else I just thought of is the ability to adjust the min and max volume settings of the Auto Volume. I don't use it at any level because I just can't get it adjusted right. The max, unclipped volume level of the Clarion radio in my boat is 31. I typically keep it around 30 but if you adjust the volume with the auto volume enabled once you are on plane to 30 that's not really the max. When you are pulling a rider up, the volume will spike to 33 or 34 before it settles at 30. This provides some nice distortion for a few seconds.

At that volume, it never really gets quiet enough when idling. If you could set the min and max volumes this would allow you to really dial in the range.

This may not be possible though since I'm not sure if the head unit provides true feedback to the computer that says what it's current volume level is.

God am I glad I don't have these kinds of headaches to deal with. I'd rather have a dial knob and 6000 watts than an idiot screen to fart around with endlessly until the next new software or hardware version comes out. F the iPhone 5, give me more Wetsounds please.

I, too tried to get a boat without it, but was told 1-22ve is disco'ed, take what you can get, and 2-tigetouch is mandatory on that boat, so I will learn to adapt. it's not bad, but I do prefer switches.

my complaints in the 19hrs I have put on the boat so far:
-volume needs to stay muted once muted until I tell it otherwise
-when I set speed control, it should stay on until I tell it otherwise. sucks to have to explain to a new driver how to set it when you turn the boat off to swap riders.
-response time to the clarion hu is somewhat laggey. I'm sure theres no fix for this. I'll get used to it over time
-redundant gauges. why, on the gauge screen do I need to see taps and fuel settings when there are gauges in the dash for it? clean it up and make it easier to read.
-when filling ballast, I don't care that it's in 25% increments as we are either all or nothing to surf, but seems that the timer isn't long enough to fill mikes custom rear sack. this is probably the only thing I wish was still on manual rocker switches. turn switch on, when bag pees out the side, turn switch off. when it's done draining, turn switch off. pretty simple.

what do I love about it?
-blower automagically comes on every time the boat is started.
-speed control is 10x better than the paddlewheel perfect pass I had
-software updates, when needed, can be done w/o dealer trip and cost
-ease of use. it really is pretty easy to sit and fiddle with for 5 minutes and understand the basic functions..


at the end of the day, it is a pretty slick system and hope that the tweaks continue, and the biggest irritant to me-ballst filling- can always be converted back to switches(might be a mod in the future for me).

You can adjust the ballast fill and drain times in the setup. You can also just hit the touchscreen on the bag you want to fill until it says Fill and it will stay on (like a manual switch) until you tell it otherwise by hitting it again.

With all of us "tweakers", I imagine that tige touch isn't the best solution. It sounds like a great thing, but it will be rigid. For a lot of people who don't modify their boats, it's the best I've heard of. With that said, I love my 2007 rz2 with the biggest enzo sacs that will fit in the thing. I even pushed the rear panels back 6" for a 40" long back section. I have 8 jabscos filling all the bags in the boat. I can fill / drain / crossover in less than 5 minutes. I doubt that tige touch could run all 8 pumps I have and handle the 70 or so amps they draw. Until I can afford a z3, it's "manual" for me --
